As an important part of lifeline system, central heating supply system plays a significant role in people's daily life and production to provide heat energy. The previous earthquake disasters have showed that many structures and facilities, such as bridges and pipes, are fragile during the earthquakes. Because of the damages of these structures and facilities after the earthquakes often make some or even the whole of the lifeline subsystem out of actions, these are really great obstacles and may cause serious disasters to the reconstruction after the disaster.However, there are very limited researches on the seismic analysis and the correlation study of central heating supply system which is an important branch of lifeline system. Resting on the predecessors'researches, considering the common ground of water supply system and gas supply system, drawing on the mature analytical approaches, Some research have been done on the seismic hazard analysis, gradation criterion of earthquake damage, earthquake vulnerability analysis and earthquake loss estimation of central heating supply system, besides through summarizing and analyzing I have obtained some earthquake emergency measures of central heating supply system.The main idea of the paper is as follows:1. Systematically illustrating the current situation of seismic analysis and risk analysis of central heating supply system, academic achievements and the problems that exit so far.2. Rest on the previous information of earthquake disasters, researches of the properties of earthquake disasters have been done in this paper. The paper focused on the researches about the damage properties of the structures especially pipelines of central heating system which are widely used today.3. On the basis of the damage properties of central heating supply system, incorporating the previous gradation criterion of earthquake damage to lifeline system, this paper obtained the gradation criterion of earthquake damage to central heating supply system. 4. This Paper used theoretical analysis to research the vulnerability of central heating system, based on the researches of water distribution system and gas distribution system and incorporating the properties of central heating supply system. Combining the theoretical formula, predicted value of earthquake damage rate was got through a calculation case, this paper also gave a comparation between the predicted value and experiential damage data of the water supply system.5. Based on the rate of earthquake damage, the paper improved the earthquake loss estimation method of heat supply pipelines.Through investigating the construction cost and maintenance costs, using a calculation case to get the loss value by the method of the criterion and the method this thesis brought forward. And by the comparison of the results, the paper verified the rationality of the method based on the rate of earthquake damage, and advised specific improvement suggestions to make it more operational.
