The performance of Space-X-ray detector based on SDD is researched in this paper.It has five parts, and summed up as two main aspects. 1) Studies on the properties of SDD detector. 2) The research on the energy spectrum of SDD detector. The performance of Space-X-ray detector based on SDD is researched in this paper. The principle of SDD in work is introduced, and the design for the SDD system is showed in detail. The test system concludes radiation source, power, circuit, MCA-8000A multichannel analyzer detector and so on. The design of front circuit, the design of forming circuit, and the design of power circuit are also concluded. The SDD system has been tested for a long time, and we test it many times. The results of the tests are showed as follow:1. Temperature Characteristics: From the experimental data, we obtained the relation between the resolution (FWHM) and the temperature. From the curve, we can clearly observe that with the increase of the temperature of the detector, the noise level observed by the oscilloscope becomes worse, and the resolution also becomes worse. We made the index curve fitting for the curve, and found that the energy resolution can be exponential curve with temperature changes.2. We tested the energy resolution in different count rates, and gives the test results. From the analysis of test results we can obtain that with the increase of the count rate, resolution becomes worse. The results can be obtained by fitting the different energy resolution, and it showed that the energy resolution consistent with a negative index of changes in trend in different count rates.3. We make the test to get energy spectrum for different elements using the X-ray tube excitation radiation and get energy resolution, the relation between the energy resolution and the energy. We also make the analysis of the tested energy spectrum.Comparing with the properties of several X-ray through repeated tests, It is concluded that the SDD is better than others, given the desire of the resource and the destination of science for the CLEP (China Lunar Exploration Program), SDD detector technology should continue to be used in the third term of CLEP.Otherwise, it is important for us to note that our detected technology could not keep up with that of international level. The main reason is that the process of making semi-conductor has limited ability to meet the desire of space exploration. Thus, the technique for making detector has became the important problem which is necessary to solve.
