All sorts of minerals and rocks has unique diagnostic feature spectrum belt in the electromagnetic spectrum. Hyper-spectral resolution is able to detect the diagnostic features in the rocks and can identify and classify them.In the hydrothermal ore deposits, altered rocks often occurs in the hydrothermal ore deposits and exposed to the surface than ore body, its distribution range is often larger than ore body and easy to be found, so it is commonly used to indicate the existence of deposits. Based on the collection of geological and mineral exploration achievements made by the previous research and the regional geological background, ore-forming geological conditions and ore-forming law in the study area, this paper use the Hyper-spectral technique, make a research into the processing methods and preprocessing flow.Through the field measured spectrum collection, the research established spectrum database of the study area, studied the spectrum character curves of different minerals. With the application of Spectral Angle Mapping, Spectral Feature Fitting and Matched Filtering, the paper tries to identify and classify the altered minerals, the main achievements obtained are as followed:(1)After summarizing the spectrum curve features of several minerals and rocks such as carbonate, silicate, iron oxide and clay minerals, including the overall and partial features. The author is convinced that hyper-spectral mineral recognition and classification can comprehensively analyze the integrated information including the depth, the location and the sharp width, the degree of symmetrical of absorb valley.(2)With studying the relationship between the altered mineral and metallization, the extraction of mineral altered information is obtained through using Spectral Angle Mapping, Spectral Feature Fitting and Matched Filtering , and the research obtain the distribution map of altered minerals in the research area including chlorite, epidote, sericite, dolomite, pyrite, jarosite and so on.(3)The research built the database of field measured spectrum at Dongdatan area in east Kunlun, including 73 rocks, mineral spectrum curves altogether. This spectrum curve database can provide proofs for the identification and classification of the altered minerals in East Kunlun area, and this database can be used for extracting mineral altered information in the area without exploration.(4)The verification of the abnormal alteration field was conducted in the field. Combining regional geology with mineralization conditions, a better result of practical application is achieved through mineralization prediction in this region and delineation of optimized target area.
