This study analyzed the changes of Chlorella vulgaris Antarctic strain which had physical training to UV-B in the initial values of optimal photosynthetic efficiency(Fv/Fm), the photosynthetic oxygen enolution rate, photosynthetic pigment content, the electron transport activity and anti-oxidase activity under UV-B radiation. The results showed that: (Fv/Fm) decreased and the range of decreased was smaller and smaller with the prolong of experment'days, hower, the range of Chlorella vulgaris Antarctic strain which had physical training to UV-B was smaller.Remove UV-B radition,(Fv/Fm) recovered but the recovering ability of Chlorella vulgaris Antarctic strain which had physical training to UV-B was stronger. the photosynthetic oxygen enolution rate became stronger and stronger, hower, the range of Chlorella vulgaris Antarctic strain which had physical training to UV-B was bigger.we carried on the short-term experiments and found: the rate of photosynthetic oxygen and the electron transport activity decreased too, while photosynthetic oxygen rate significantly decreased at first, with the enhancement of radiation, decreased gradually. The changeS of SOD( superoxide dimutase) activity and CAT(catalase) activity in Chlorella vulgaris Antarctic strain increased at first, then decreased. As well as Chlorella vulgaris, but the range of changing for Chlorella vulgaris Antarctic strain was smaller. Conclusion: UV-B damage Fv/Fm, photosynthetic oxygen rate and electron transport chain activity of Chlorella vulgaris Antarctic strain while it had adaptability to UV-B stress with the enhancement of radiation. Anti-oxidase played a protected role. Compared to Chlorella vulgaris, Chlorella vulgaris Antarctic strain to bear UV-B was stronger.
