Ocean science is a subject with strong comprehensiveness, the study to its different objects depends on their own observation technology. Ocean wave is one of the most important objects of ocean science. Surface measurement of ocean wave by using wave buoy is important means of obtaining wave data, the wave buoy is the major equipment of observation long-term real time,fixed. The buoy collects and processes wave parameters by its sensor. Testing sensor system is important part of the development process.After manufacture and assemblage, there must be series tests, by which we can sure its actual performance, meanwhile, the sensor been stored or used for a period of time need to be test too. Test method develops rapidly as the method of developing equipments, and it plays an important role in the whole development process as a independent system.Issue relied:National 863 plan ocean marine technology Standardization project-wave buoy, introduce the test system of the buoy sensor, from the theoretical basis to particular realize, from experience summary to method improve.The sensor system is in a important link of the whole measure system, it's used to get the useful information and transform them to signal which the measure system could recognize and process, so the sensor's performance in stability,accuracy etc. relates to the capability of the whole measure system.The study of test method starts from the general characteristics of sensor, based on analysis of the wave theory and standard requirement of measure technology, from the view of system integration, test from part to entirety. Pay attention to performance of ever single part as well as overall basic features. In SZF wave buoy, we measure all kinds parameters and corresponding cycles, vertical tilt,lateral tilt and azimuth of the buoy by using the wave height& tilt sensor,azimuth sensor, then calculate, thus we get the direction of the wave spreading. Test of the azimuth is based on the analysis of its structure and working principle, study of error theory, intelligent improvement based on original method. Give the design circuit of the test system. The software realizes data communication and process, and it can show the data collected on the screen real-time, make documentations to be used. The study of Tilt sensor test method is based on its special structure design and wave theory, combined with standard requirement of buoy industry, using physical model. Test every parameter strictly and repeatedly. Give the operating steps and notes. Finally, introduce the test of the system and accuracy analysis. Repeat system debugging and performance testing based on analyzing the Accuracy and measure equipment accuracy deeply. Test method is improving as the development of electric technology. It possesses more intelligent features than traditional method. When global ocean science goes in a multidisciplinary and three-dimensional age, intelligent test technology can supply better ensure for marine observe.
