Nuclear data is very important both in theoretical studies and in applied practice. Many scholars in nuclear physics theory simulate the nuclear reaction and calculate the nuclear data by establishing a model. The neutron reaction data plays an more important role, especially. The neutron reaction data of 197Au has been calculated by using NDCOV.FOR program in this paper. The program is based on the theoretical models which are optical model, distorted wave born approximation, Hauser-Feshbach model, exciton model to simulate the neutron induced nuclear reaction. This neutron reaction is low-energy nuclear reaction and the incident neutron energy range is from 0.1 MeV to 20 MeV. Cross sections of 197Au (n, tot),197Au (n,γ),197Au (n,2n),197Au (n,3n),197Au (n, t),197Au(n,d),197Au (n, np),elastic scattering cross section and elastic scattering angular distribution of n+197 Au have been calculated,then the experimental data which is from the EXFOR and theoretical value have been compared in this paper. As a result, theoretical results dovetail nicely with the experimental data.
