| MiRNA is a class of about 22 nt conserved non-coding small RNA with the regulatory function, playing an important role in the regulation of developmental timing, cell proliferation and apoptosis as well as tumor development. At the same time, miRNA also involved in a variety of biological processes and signaling pathways, including nerve cell self-renewal, the development of vertebrates, the formation of heart, muscle and nervous system. Data show that each miRNA can regulate hundreds of target genes, which suggests that miRNA may affect all of the signaling pathways. In this paper, we collect information of human-related miRNA in the literature manually. Use Perl programming language and the Excel software to collate the data collected, and then build the human-related miRNA information database—miCenter based on the MySQL database platform. The database strictly accord with the third normal form (3NF), to ensure the database structure reasonable. As the end of May 2009, we have collected 693 literature data about human miRNA, including a total of 1612 experimental groups with 533 miRNA. In addition, this database also include experimental validated of the miRNA target information in miRecords and TarBase5.0, and provide genetic data and the notes of connection of the miRBase, Gene Ontology (GO), Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man (OMIM), Genecards database. Organizing the query results page data and layout, so that the display can be as succinct as possible, clear and easy to read. Building the database can provide comprehensive, convenient information resources of the miRNA for the relevant field researchers. In this paper,we use two ways to find the link between miRNA pairs. One is by one-tailed Fisher exact hypothesis testing to verify the miRNA pair simultaneous possibility, and another is by analyzing the miRNA targets to see if miRNA involved in at least one common signaling pathway to validate the miRNAs are connected. Then, use Cytoscape software to analyze the data of interacted miRNA visually, building the following four different group relationships network: (1) relationship between miRNA that human related networks; (2) relationship between miRNA that cancer-related network; (3) relationship between miRNA that other disease-related network; (4) relationship between miRNA that normal biological processes related network.By comparing miRNA relationships network with each other, and analyzing miRNA through its target genes participation in the number of different signal pathways, we get some miRNAs and miRNAs clusters frequently involved in regulation human signaling pathway. This article attempts to study the relationship between miRNA through obtained miRNAs by collecting literature information (expression of the experimental group records) and its target genes involved in the regulation of the signaling pathways. In addition, to the field of miRNA research, the analysis of human biological regulation is a new attempt. |
