Research On The Competitiveness Of Agricultural Industrial Cluster

Agricultural industrial cluster is an effective organization way to optimize the regional agricultural industrial layout,realize the optimal allocation of agricultural resources,and enhance the competitiveness of agricultural industry.The scale economy and spillover effect that it produces have effectively promoted the rapid and sustainable development of agricultural economy.However,most of China’s agricultural industrial clusters are still in the early stage of development,with small agglomeration scale,short industrial chain,insufficient innovation investment and brand cultivation,and weak comprehensive strength of agricultural intermediary service organizations.Hence,how to promote the agricultural industry to gradually extend to the high end of the industrial chain has become an urgent problem to be solved.Based on the perspective of agricultural industrial cluster,this article comprehensively uses the global value chain theory from the perspective of externalization,the industrial cluster evolution theory from the perspective of process,and the competitive advantage theory(innovation network theory and brand competitiveness theory)from the perspective of internalization to analyze the evolution mechanism of agricultural industrial cluster competitiveness promotion in detail with economic methods,This paper concludes three evolution stages of the competitiveness of agricultural industrial clusters,namely,Resource Agglomeration Period,Innovation and Upgrading Period,Industrial Convergence Period.On the basis of regional economic theory,external economic advantage theory,competitive advantage theory and scope economy theory,We seek the development path from the root by revealing the power mechanism for the improvement of the competitiveness of agricultural industrial clusters.This enriches the research on the evolutionary law of the improvement of the competitiveness of agricultural industrial clusters and extends the evaluation perspectives of the competitiveness of agricultural industrial clusters.Moreover,we provides theoretical guidance for a more comprehensive analysis on the competitiveness of agricultural clusters.The deployment of cluster strategic development and the formulation of government policies have important effect.We discuss the improvement of the competitiveness of agricultural industrial clusters from the following aspects.First,build the theoretical research framework of agricultural industrial cluster competitiveness.(1)From the perspective of exogenous global value chain theory,endogenous competitive advantage theory and process industrial cluster evolution theory,this paper analyzes the mechanism of agricultural industrial cluster competitiveness more comprehensively;(2)Based on the theory of industrial cluster evolution,this paper analyzes the evolution mechanism of the competitiveness of agricultural industrial cluster in detail with economic methods,and concludes three evolution stages of the competitiveness of agricultural industrial cluster,namely,the period of resource agglomeration,the period of innovation and upgrading,and the period of industrial integration;(3)Based on the theory of competitive advantage,this paper studies the dynamic mechanism of the three stages.The agglomeration led by the theory of regional economic advantage and external economic advantage is the dynamic mechanism of the resource agglomeration period,the upgrading led by the theory of innovation network and brand competitiveness is the dynamic mechanism of the Innovation Upgrading period,and the integration led by the advantage of scope economy is the dynamic mechanism of the industrial integration period;(4)Put forward the theoretical evolution model of agricultural industrial cluster competitiveness;(5)It clarifies the relationship among innovation,network and brand,and provides a basis for GBMS model to combine innovation,network and brand into "brand power".Second,the GBMS model construction of agricultural industrial cluster competitiveness.By analyzing the dynamic mechanism of the competitiveness of agricultural industrial clusters in the three stages in the third chapter,a GBMS model is constructed,which is composed of four factors: basic power,brand power,market power and environmental support power.Through testing the reliability and validity of the survey data,factor analysis method is used to get the conclusion that the weight of brand power is the largest,The competitiveness of five agricultural industrial clusters in Hebei Province is evaluated comprehensively.The model provides a basis for the measurement of the competitiveness of agricultural industrial clusters.Third,the empirical analysis of the influencing factors of GBMs model.This paper makes an empirical analysis on the influencing factors of the competitiveness of agricultural industrial cluster in the period of resource agglomeration,innovation and upgrading,and industrial integration.Based on the data of 11 prefecture level cities,161 municipal districts and counties in Hebei Province,this paper chooses the appropriate method to measure the degree of agricultural industrial agglomeration,sets up a multiple regression model,and tests the nonlinear relationship between brand,innovation network,integration and agricultural industrial cluster agglomeration through multiple collinearity and heteroscedasticity tests,Finally,the robust test is used to get the reliable conclusion of the development path in the period of resource agglomeration.Based on the empirical analysis of the influencing factors of the competitiveness of agricultural industrial clusters in the period of Innovation Upgrading and industrial integration,this paper makes a comprehensive analysis from the five perspectives of agglomeration degree,network link,innovation level,brand building and diversified integration,and obtains the development path of Innovation Upgrading and industrial integration combined with the theoretical evolution model in the third chapter.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows.First,The core factor of the competitiveness of agricultural industrial cluster is "brand innovation",which has 45.944% information interpretation degree,and "basic factor","environmental support factor" and "market factor" have 25.201%,7.371% and 3.811%information interpretation degree respectively.Second,in the period of resource agglomeration of agricultural industrial cluster,except for the index of "number of agricultural product trademarks" which is negative at 1%confidence level,other core variables representing innovation,network and brand are significant at more than 5% confidence level.Combined with the theory of global value chain,the path to enhance competitiveness in the early stage of agglomeration is process optimization,sharing and learning to improve production efficiency,Reduce the cost of production and operation;In the middle and late stage of agglomeration,product optimization is the core,which focuses on promoting the construction of geographical indication trademark,promoting the upgrading of cluster with the popularity of regional brand,and combining technology substitution integration and industrial extension integration.Thirdly,the influencing factors of the competitiveness of agricultural industrial clusters in the period of innovation and upgrading are based on product upgrading,with functional upgrading as the core,with well-known brand and multi-dimensional innovation(technology,mode,management services)to enhance the added value of the value chain,with hierarchical network links to promote knowledge transfer,combined with product and market alternative integration.Fourth,in the period of industrial integration,the influencing factors of competitiveness of agricultural industrial clusters take the industrial chain as a breakthrough,inject new connotation into the brand,continue to enhance the added value of the value chain by innovation,and take the highly complementary integration of products and markets as the leading factor.On the basis of the above research,this paper puts forward three stages of policy recommendations: in the period of resource agglomeration,it is necessary to clarify the cluster development strategy and establish the overall concept;Promote the reform of agricultural integrated management,improve the efficiency of work;Strive to build the whole industry chain standardized production system;Strengthen the support and guidance of agricultural cooperatives and associations.In the period of innovation and upgrading,leading enterprises need to be supported in an all-round way;Promote brand building with science and technology innovation network system;Optimize the operation environment of agricultural products brand;Cultivate a comprehensive team of innovative talents.In the period of industrial integration,we need to stimulate the penetration of high-tech integration;Improve the laws and regulations to escort the cluster.
