| High-quality and high-level Adolescent football reserve talents are the foundation for the further development and improvement of a country’s football level.Today,Chinese football is in a relatively sluggish state in world football,so China is vigorously developing the reform of all aspects of football,especially campus football.As a basic project to expand the size of football population and consolidate the foundation of football talents,campus football should become a platform for the training of young football reserve talents in the future,shouldering the historical mission of realizing the revitalization of football in China and building a strong sports country.Young campus football players are in their adolescence and devote more time and energy to professional football training while completing the school culture curriculum.The satisfaction of young campus football players in training and competition is not only an important factor affecting the mental health of athletes,but also an important guarantee for them to achieve a higher level of competition.For young campus football players,the leadership style shown by coaches can not only affect the formation of athletes’ outlook on life and values,but also indirectly affect their satisfaction with training competitions.The leadership behavior of the coach affects the attitude and behavior of the athlete,and the appropriate leadership behavior shown by the coach will have a positive impact on the athlete,and vice versa.Based on the review of literature,this study constructs an overall model based on path-goal theory,and explores the influence of coaches’ transformational leadership on the satisfaction of youth school football players.In the questionnaire revision stage,the measurement tools were revised according to the specific situation of the youth school football team,and the reliability and validity of the measurement tools were tested through the small sample pre-test stage,which laid the foundation for subsequent research.Finally,787 football players from 56 youth school football teams in China were used as the study subjects,and the reliability and validity of the measurement tools were tested by using SPSS24.0 and AMOS 24.0 software,independent sample t-test,exploratory factor analysis,confirmatory factor analysis,internal consistency test and related analysis.At the same time,the common method deviation test and aggregation test were carried out on the data,and finally the theoretical model was tested by SPSS 24.0 and HLM 6.08 software to analyze the data.The main findings are as follows:(1)Coaches’ transformational leadership has a significant positive impact on the satisfaction of youth school football players in training and competition.Coach leadership behavior is an important variable affecting athletes’ satisfaction in training competitions,coaches show transformative leadership behaviors in the process of coaching,listen to and pay attention to the needs of athletes,clarify the goals and development of the team in a motivating way,encourage athletes to challenge themselves,and help improve athletes’ satisfaction.(2)Coaches’ transformational leadership can significantly predict team cohesion,that is,the transformational leadership behavior shown by coaches in the coaching process can effectively promote the improvement of team cohesion.At the same time,team cohesion can significantly predict athletes’ satisfaction with training competitions,and when the team has high cohesion,it has a positive effect on improving athletes’ satisfaction with training competitions.Team cohesion plays a part-mediating role in the cross-level influence of coaches’ transformative leadership on athletes’ training and competition satisfaction,which indicates that coaches’ transformative leadership can not only directly promote the training and competition satisfaction of young school football players,but also have an indirect impact on training and competition satisfaction through group-level team cohesion.(3)Coaches’ transformative leadership has a significant cross-level positive impact on coach-athlete relationship,and the motivation,respect and care behavior of coach transformative leadership on athletes are more likely to make athletes have positive emotional connections and improve the quality of coach-athlete relationships.At the same time,the coach-athlete relationship can significantly predict the satisfaction of athletes’ training competitions,that is,a harmonious coach-athlete relationship can make athletes have a higher sense of satisfaction with training competitions.The coach-athlete relationship plays a part-mediating role in the cross-level influence of coach transformational leadership on athletes’ training and competition satisfaction,which indicates that coach transformational leadership has a direct impact on the training and competition satisfaction of young school football players,and can also have an indirect impact on training and competition satisfaction through coach-athlete relationship.(4)Coaches’ transformative leadership has a significant cross-level positive impact on athletes’ sports investment,and coaches’ encouragement and care for athletes in the coaching process will promote athletes’ enthusiasm for sports.At the same time,athletes’ sports input can significantly predict athletes’ satisfaction with training competitions,that is,when athletes’ sports input level is high,they will produce higher satisfaction with training competitions;Athletes’ sports investment plays a part-mediating role in the cross-level influence of coaches’ transformational leadership on athletes’ satisfaction with training competitions,which indicates that coaches’ transformative leadership can not only directly promote the satisfaction of youth school football players’ training and competitions,but also have an indirect impact on training and competition satisfaction through individual-level athletes’ sports investment. |
