| The issue of college students’ social identity of ideological and political education in the field of the effectiveness of ideological and political education in universities has always been a theoretical and realistic key point in the research and practice horizon of Ideological and Political Education.This study focuses on the issue of social identity of ideological and political education in a narrow sense,in which the social identity of college students towards ideological and political education itself.The purpose of the study on the College Students’ social identity of ideological and political education(SIIPE)is not only to understand,investigate and analyse the current situation,main problems and influencing factors of College Students’ SIIPE,but also to improve the effectiveness of ideological and political education of universities through the educational ways of promoting social identity of ideological and political education of college students,so as to more effectively help college students to achieve the overall development of themselves as human beings.This study is mainly based on the relevant principles of Marxism and the principles related to values education in ideological and political education,and draws on social identity theory to explore in some depth the theoretical issues of the concept,characteristics,content and subject-object relationship of College Students’ SIIPE.Meanwhile,the study also empirically validates the five-dimensional structural model of the theory of College Students’ SIIPE.Through an empirical study of the Chinese College Students’ SIIPE at the present stage,it is found that the reliability and validity of the survey instrument on the Chinese College Students’ SIIPE were good;the current level of the Chinese College Students’SIIPE is generally good;there are individual differences in some demographic variables and structural dimension variables;the subject,object and environment of the ideological and political education work in university all affect and predict the level of College Students’SIIPE to a certain extent;the level of social identity in college students’ individual identity will positively predict their level of SIIPE,while the level of college students’ collective identity,relational identity and self-esteem will negatively predict their level of SIIPE.On the basis of the empirical research,the study analyses the main problems in the quantitative findings.The study found that the current situation of Chinese College Students’ SIIPE mainly has six problems,such as the lack of coordination and unity of subjective and objective identity,the lack of deepening of value identity and the lack of assimilation of emotional identity.At this stage,the level of "external identity(knowledge identity and behavioral identity)" in College Students’ SIIPE is higher than that of "implicit identity(value identity,emotional identity and volitional identity)",and College Students’value identity,emotional identity and volitional identity in ideological and political education are the weak links in College Students’ SIIPE at the present stage.Based on the comprehensive qualitative and quantitative research results,the study analyzed the causes and influencing factors of the current problems.The study found that there are mainly external reasons behind the current problems of Chinese College Students’SIIPE,such as the change of social background framework,the narrowing of the potential energy gap of communication information,and internal reasons such as the lack of systematic theoretical guidance and insufficient transformation of core dimensions.In view of the problems and their causes,the study proposes educational objectives,principles,mechanisms and paths for promoting the level of College Students’ SIIPE in China at this stage.Based on the education mechanism of intrinsic generation-social generation-practice generation,the cross-psychological perspective draws on social identity theory to create an innovative individual-society dual promotion path.In this way,while enhancing the effectiveness of ideological and political education in universities,the dual value objectives of ideological and political education can be achieved simultaneously,namely to help college students achieve all-round development as human beings while also promoting social harmony. |
