Research On Chinese Path To Modernization And Its Value Implication

General Secretary Xi Jinping clearly stated in the report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,from now on,the central task of the CPC is to unite and lead the people of all ethnic groups to build a strong socialist modernization country in all respects,achieve the second hundred-year goal,and promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation in a comprehensive manner with Chinese-style modernization.Building a strong modern socialist country and achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation have been the greatest dream of the Chinese people since modern times,and it is the fundamental and supreme interest of the Chinese nation.The Chinese Communist Party,under the leadership of the Chinese people,has explored a new road of Chinese-style modernization for the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics,which is not only a new exploration of modernization mode,but also a new creation of civilization.Therefore,it is necessary to examine the value implication of Chinese-style modernization from the high level of civilization,deeply explain the theoretical connotation of Chinese-style modernization,and profoundly reveal its progressive significance in the development trend of human civilization.Chinese-style modernization is a vivid development of the theory of scientific socialism in China,and a major achievement of the sinicization and modernization of Marxism in the times.This dissertation first starts from the theoretical resources to find the theoretical support for the formation of Chinese-style modernization from the perspective of historical materialism,and reveals the historical materialist connotation of Chinese-style modernization.The idea of Chinese-style modernization is grand and rich in content,which contains elements of Marx’s theory of world history,Marx’s theory of modernization,and Marx’s theory of comprehensive human development.The transformation of history into world history is the prerequisite for Chinese modernization,Marx’s critique and reflection on capitalist modernization is the developmentguideline for Chinese modernization,and the promotion of the comprehensive development of human beings is the value of Chinese modernization.The theoretical basis of Chinese-style modernization needs to be explored from the perspective of Marxist world outlook and methodology and in the organic unity of dialectical materialism and historical materialism.After exploring the theoretical origins of Chinese path to modernization,this dissertation begins to sort out and explain the historical lineage and main contents of Chinese path to modernization.From a historical perspective,China’s learning and exploration of modernization started passively in the interaction of challenge and confrontation,followed by the socialist turn during the New Democratic Revolution;Preliminary exploration of socialist modernization during the period of socialist revolution and construction;The proposal and development of Chinese path to modernization in the new era of reform and opening up and socialist modernization construction;After socialism with Chinese characteristics entered a new era,with the proposal of the new road of Chinese path to modernization,the understanding and development of China’s modernization experienced a transformation process from passive to active,from vacant to conscious under the leadership of the CPC.In terms of nature,characteristics and paradigm,there are qualitative differences between Chinese path to modernization and western capital logic modernization,which are embodied in the fundamental nature of socialism,the characteristics of latecomers and exogenous,and the multi-dimensional parallel development paradigm of Chinese path to modernization.Chinese path to modernization is born and grown on the land of China,which is related to the requirements of socialist development,China’s actual national conditions,and the people’s better life.This stipulates that Chinese path to modernization has unique Chinese characteristics,that is the modernization of a huge population,the modernization of common prosperity for all people,the modernization of coordinated material and spiritual civilization,the modernization of harmonious coexistence between man and nature,and the modernization of peaceful development.It also embodies the unified logic of universality and particularity,party spirit and people spirit,historical and contemporary nature,autonomy and openness.From the perspective of civilization,the civilizational value of Chinese path to modernization lies in the fact that we have created a new form of human civilization in the process of adhering to Chinese path to modernization.The creation of a new form of human civilization by Chinese path to modernization has benefited from the innovative development of Marxist theory of civilization,originated from the great transformation of the modernization and development of Chinese civilization,and has been realized in the realistic construction of socialist modernization.This process has fully manifested the people-oriented civilizational subjectivity view of Chinese path to modernization,the comprehensive and coordinated civilization development view,the civilization exchange view of mutual learning and interaction,and the civilization overall view of sharing the same destiny.The successful pioneering and scientific development of Chinese path to modernization has fully confirmed the diversified possibilities of modernization in the world,broken through the shackles of the traditional socialist model,and enriched the connotation of the development of human civilization.It is this new road of modernization,which is different from the previous ones,that has created a new type of socialist civilization,and is destined to be scientific and transcendent to the development of many human civilizations in the past,which is the value of Chinese path to modernization.
