| The object of this paper is the Apo Tea Culture,a local women’s tea custom culture that originated in the Shangta area of Jinze town,Qingpu district,Shanghai.Chinese tea culture is not only an important part of traditional Chinese culture, but also a precious agricultural resource and cultural heritage. As a traditional folk custom in the rural society of Jiangnan area,Apo Tea Culture is different from men’s drinking in public, and women’s freedom to drink tea has long been restricted within the family hall and under the suppression of Confucianism,so there are very few female tea cultures handed down.Apo Tea Culture is closely related to the daily life of women in the Shangta area.It brings together the traditional production methods of local women,as well as their beliefs, customs and habits, and occupies an important place in the individual growth of local women. At present, the process of urbanization has brought radical changes to China’s rural society. The modernization process of rural society is like a double-edged sword, which has both promoted the transformation of vernacular society and injected new development vitality into the traditional rural society of the past, and led to the dysfunctional and reproductive reconstruction of rural culture. In the context of rural revitalization and traditional culture revival, through the effective exploitation of local distinctive culture,it has become an effective means to develop local economy, improve local cultural visibility and establish the image of local distinctive culture. In the process of cultural preservation and exploitation of the Apo Tea Culture, the natural environment, physical architecture and even living habits of the indigenous people in the local villages of Shangta are redefined and given new historical and cultural values, and are transformed into cultural resources that showcase their traditional and feminine characteristics to the world. In such a cultural change process of resourceful reproduction of Apo Tea Culture, there are deviations in the development intention, development orientation, and cultural positioning, which is the Culture Anomie referred to in this paper. The problem of rural cultural changes in the process of urbanization is examined from the perspective of cultural anomie because it is necessary to face up to the fact that the urbanization process in China has brought or is bringing enormous cultural impact to the transformed vernacular society. The problems related to cultural resourcefulness have profoundly affected the production and living customs of the indigenous people in villages, and in a sense, this is also an inevitable development process for the preservation and exploitation of rural culture. It is a cultural proposition of the times that local governments, village aborigines, and even relevant research scholars must undertake to examine and reflect on the social basis of traditional cultural changes and to subjectively and dynamically assume the relevant cultural fate.On the other hand, the cultural anomie caused by urbanization may also be a positive contribution to the development of traditional cultural change. This paper is based on the local rural society of Shangta in the midst of urbanization changes.Taking the Apo Tea Culture as an example, semistructured in-depth interviews were conducted with the inheritors of Apo Tea Culture, relevant management personnel, local cultural researchers, and rural residents of the cultural origins.Through targeted and specific research work and based on the analytical perspective of anomie theory, the four variables of cultural subject, cultural goal, cultural function, and cultural environment are introduced,an analytical framework for analyzing issues related to cultural anomie is initially constructed, and derived the types of cultural failure of Apo Tea Culture in terms of environmental imbalance, deviation from the goal, subject dysfunction and functional failure, and the comprehensive anomie phenomena of Apo Tea Culture in the process of cultural characteristics utilization, cultural development controversy and women’s inheritance dilemma, and then interpret the core of its cultural anomie from the perspective of culture, economy and power. The modernized society based on market economy is a pluralistic society, and in the endogenous development of urban and rural areas, there are various conceptual and value exchanges between different cultural subjects. The state-driven cultural development goals and the individual interest differentiation make it necessary to have both competition and cooperation among cultural subjects. To a certain extent,in the urbanization process of Shangta area, the Apo Tea Culture has survived not because of the continuity of its cultural heritage, but because the female cultural characteristics can contribute to the socio-economic and cultural development of the local area.In fact, the rural female cultural subjects in Shangta are not only the demonstrators of the local culture, but also the main inheritors of the female tea customs of Apo tea.The local traditional culture should not only be protected in its own right, but also the environment in which it was created, and the sustainable development of the culture should be maintained in the cultural reconstruction.Furthermore, the economic, cultural and spiritual needs of the local cultural subjects as a "living culture" should be fully considered.Only by maintaining a dynamic balance between the dominant force of state coercion and the actual situation of local culture can the effective reconstruction of local traditional culture in the countryside be truly realized.Apo Tea Culture as a local female tea culture, the manifestation of the feminine characteristics and the reconstruction of feminism,on the one hand, reflects the significant improvement of the economic production status of women in modern society, and on the other hand, confirms the subcultural subordination of female culture in social culture.Whether for the purpose of cultural preservation and development of heritage,or the balanced development of culture from the perspective of women’s culture,it is necessary for society to pay attention to women’s culture rather than simply using it,and to realize the creative transformation and innovative development of rural characteristic women’s culture in the true sense based on respecting the environment of cultural production. |
