Fenhe River is the second largest tributary of the Yellow River and the largest inland river in Shanxi Province. It runs through Shanxi and mainly flows through Linfen basin and Jinzhong Basin from south to north. Therefore,it also runs through the two core areas of Shanxi Dialects,Fenhe piece of Zhongyuan Mandarin and Bingzhou piece of Jin dialect. It can be said that the dialects in Fenhe River basin can almost represent the dialects of the whole Shanxi Province. However, these two dialect areas have been regarded as two different cultural plates since ancient times, and whether their dialects are independent individuals or dialectal continuum, that is,whether the dialects of the two regions are homogeneous or heterogeneous,we need to give a relatively scientific evaluation.Shanxi mountains are numerous and regularly distributed. The East and west parts of the two basins running through the Fenhe River Basin are respectively surrounded by Taihang Mountains and Lvliang mountains. Therefore,a long and narrow corridor is formed in the middle of the mountains, and this corridor presents a unique geographical pattern of "Linfen basin-Lingshi highland-Taiyuan basin-Yangqu highland-Xinding basin" from south to north.Highland has a certain barrier effect on the North-South communication of language, and Fenhe River,as a natural communication channel, has played an important role in the communication of language. It is precisely because of this special geographical landform that the dialects in Fenhe River Basin are particularly suitable to become our experimental field for studying language communication.Of course,we should conduct dynamic research on how dialects should continue.Only through the comparative analysis of large-scale quantitative materials, can we move the static language phenomenon and observe the communication mode and path of language,So as to make a more objective and scientific evaluation of the relationship between dialects. This is also the purpose and significance of this paper. This paper is divided into five chapters: the first chapter is the introduction, which mainly introduces the geographical situation and humanistic background of Fenhe River Basin, combs the research results of various dialects in Shanxi Fenhe River Basin in recent years, and explains the dialect zoning and phonetic situation in Shanxi Fenhe River Basin; In addition, the research background, research object, research objective and value, research methods, research ideas and overall framework, innovations and material sources of this paper are introduced in detail in this chapter. In particular,it should be pointed out that the biggest innovation of this paper is the innovation in research methods, that is,through carpet quantitative investigation and quantitative statistics,The rich language phenomena are objectively presented on the map by means of Geographic Information Science, and then the transmission characteristics of language are inversely captured through the geographical distribution law of language phenomena. The core part of the whole paper is in the second, third and fourth chapters, which are the dynamic capture of the prominent characteristics of vowels, initials and tones in Fenhe River Basin. The second chapter focuses on the typical feature of vowel heightening in Jin dialect.Through the comparative analysis of 91 dialects in Fenhe River Basin,we come to the conclusion that Jin language and Zhongyuan Mandarin are homogeneous in terms of vowel heightening, and heterogeneous in terms of whether vowels complete the cyclic evolution. Therefore, the essence of Jin language different from Zhongyuan Mandarin lies in its unique completion of the vowel cycle. The third chapter discusses the dynamic evolution from south to North from the two aspects of entering sound splitting and entering sound relaxation.Through the analysis of entering sound splitting,we come to the conclusion that the retention of ancient entering sound in Fenhe River Basin has continuity and gradual change from south to north, showing the characteristics of ladder distribution. In terms of entering sound relaxation,it is found that "Secondary turbidity into relaxation" is independent of yin and Yang into relaxation, that is,"secondary turbidity into return alone".In view of this,we put forward the "two-stage theory of entering sound relaxation",that is,"sound return" is earlier than "entering sound division".The fourth chapter starts with the clearing of the full voiced entering sound, and focuses on the question of whether the full voiced entering sound is cleared into plosives and affricates,as well as the evolution of Feng characters. We come to the conclusion that along the Fenhe River from south to north, the number of words of the full voiced initials is gradually decreasing at a rate of about 10%;The pronunciation of "Feng" in six counties and cities in Jinzhong Basin should be the late sound change, not the remains of ancient sound.Based on the dynamic analysis of chapters 2,3 and 4,we believe that the Fenhe River Basin forms a "dialect continuum" from south to north, and completes the qualitative leap in the continuous quantitative change from south to north, and the "Lingshi highland" is a perfect embodiment of the transitional language characteristics of the transition zone. Finally, the fifth chapter is the conclusion of this paper, which is a summary of the first three chapters.
