In the era of consumption,consumer culture has become popular culture,from the edge to the center,and become an important force to construct a new way of life and art production.Based on the theory of Western Marxism Art Production,this paper attempts to analyze the current reality of art production in our country from the perspectives of production subject,media technology and market capital,so as to show the new pattern of art productionin consumer culture.This paper consists of five parts except the introduction.The first chapter focuses on the background and characteristics of the emergence of consumer culture.This paper analyzes the transformation of production mode in consumer society,the formation of consumer culture and the main characteristics of consumer culture,and elaborates on the formation of an overall grasp of consumer culture,so as to prepare for the study of artistic production in consumer culture.The second chapter is mainly a theoretical foundation,a more comprehensive overview of the evolution of the theory of art production in the west,since Marx proposed that art production is a special mode of production,art production has been brought into the overall framework of social production,constantly highlighting the practical character of art production.After Marx came up with the theory,it began its "theoretical journey",bertolt Brecht,Benjamin,Althusser,Eagleton,and other Western Marxist theorists explored the structure,elements,and characteristics of artistic mode of production from different perspectives,emphasizing the significant impact of production technology,state machinery,market capital,ideology and other factors on art production.This chapter lays a theoretical foundation for the subsequent analysis of art production in consumer culture.The third chapter mainly discusses the change of subject of art production in the consumer culture.This paper expounds the evolution of the art production subject in the consumption era from four perspectives: identity transformation,writing purpose,creation center displacement and subject concealment.In the traditional sense,only human beings can become subject of art production.However,with the continuous development of artificial intelligence technology,human creative subjectivity has been impacted by artificial intelligence writing,to which we should pay attention and respond,we should not only recognize the irreplaceable creativity in art production,but also accept the infinite possibilities of artificial intelligence in the future.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the art production and media technology.Nowadays,the digital media technology is more and more developed,and which has become a powerful artistic productivity.Under its decisive role,the artistic form has changed from the traditional form with language as the medium to the digital form with image and digital technology as the medium.This change not only enriches the way of artistic expression,but also results in the supremacy of images and screen over text,posing a risk of dispelling literary,which triggers the thought of images and texts,and also re-examined the theory of the end of literature.The fifth chapter explores the dual role of capital in the art production.Capital aims to extract surplus value,pursue profits,and self-proliferation.In a capitalist society,the essence of capital is exploitation.So in the field of artistic production,we should treat capital dialectically.On the one hand,capital promotes the development of art production,on the other hand,it also causes the shackles on art production.So it is necessary to take effective measures to regulate the operation of capital.From the point of view of art production,it is required to adhere to the position of the people,create for the people,consciously be aware of the corrosion and infiltration of capital on art production,so as to ensure the right direction of art production.
