Research On Lenin’s Thought Of Socialist Cultural Constructon

Today’s world is experiencing great changes not seen in a century,and the development of human civilization is also facing new opportunities and challenges.The CPC Central Committee,with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core,attaches great importance to cultural work,closely combines the construction of a socialist cultural power with the long-term goal of modernization,and puts forward the task of promoting the construction of a socialist cultural power and the goal of building a cultural power.However,under the new situation,China’s socialist cultural power construction urgently needs theoretical support.In this process,how to effectively improve the ideological and moral level and scientific and cultural quality of the masses,how to adhere to the fundamental system of Marxism’s guiding position in the field of ideology,and how to develop advanced socialist culture are important theoretical issues before us.In the new era,it is the purpose of this paper to re-study Lenin’s series of works on culture and cultural construction,explore the special way of building socialist culture in backward Russia,and seek theoretical nourishment for developing socialist culture with Chinese characteristics.Lenin consciously placed cultural work on the strategic level of all-round construction of Soviet Russia,combined Marxist basic principles with Russian concrete reality,built a new culture according to the law of cultural development,opened up a new way for backward countries to develop advanced culture,practiced and developed Marxist cultural theory.Lenin’s thought of socialist cultural construction was put forward to remove the cultural resistance in the Russian socialist revolution and construction,aiming at ridding the country and people from the backwardness of culture,and devoted himself to developing socialist culture.The core essence of it is to develop proletarian culture guided by Marxism.Lenin laid down objectives,planned contents,clarified tasks,analyzed methods and put forward a series of policies,strategies and safeguard measures for the cultural construction in Soviet Russia,which not only pointed out the direction for the proletarian party to lead the people in the cultural construction,but also provided useful inspiration for China’s development of advanced socialist culture and building a strong socialist cultural power.Guided by the backwardness of Russian culture,this paper analyzes Lenin’s thought on the goal,task and guarantee of socialist cultural construction along clear historical context,summarizes its historical status and enlightenment to the socialist cultural construction with Chinese characteristics in the new era.The paper consists of four parts and six chapters.The first part(Chapter 1)is the introduction.First of all,standing in the 21 st century,from re-understanding the importance of Lenin’s socialist cultural construction ideological essence and system context and its historical guiding role to China’s development of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics,this paper illustrates the significance and significance of the topic.Secondly,on the basis of combing the research achievements of scholars at home and abroad on Lenin’s cultural thought and related issues in detail,this paper defines the basic concept of Lenin’s socialist cultural construction.Finally,the research method and innovation of this paper are explained.The second part(Chapter 2)mainly studies the formation foundation and development of Lenin’s thought on socialist culture construction.First of all,it explains from the source that Marx and Engels’ theory on culture and cultural construction is the theoretical basis for Lenin’s socialist cultural construction thought.And Plekhanov,Luxemburg and Chernyshevsky,Leo Tolstoy,Gorky and other thinkers on culture also injected ideological resources into the formation of this theory.Secondly,from the cultural backward countries to build socialism,defend and develop Marxism,carry out proletarian revolutionary struggle of practical aspects,summed up Lenin’s socialist culture construction thought of realistic basis.Lenin always adheres to Marxism as the guide,in the process of leading the revolutionary movement,explores the law of cultural development.Facing the trouble of backward culture in Russia,Lenin put forward the idea of building socialist culture in backward small peasant country.Finally,this paper divides three historical stages to study and comb out the development of Lenin’s thought on cultural construction.The third part(Chapter 3,Chapter 4,Chapter 5)studies the content of Lenin’s socialist cultural construction thought,and divides this content system from three aspects:goal,task and guarantee,and elaborates related thoughts in turn.First of all,it expounds Lenin’s thoughts on the goal of socialist culture construction from the aspects of adhering to Marxism guiding position,building a higher level of socialist culture and cultivating a new generation of people who are built into communist society.Lenin not only proposed to adhere to and develop Marxism in a scientific manner,guide cultural construction with Marxism,arm the minds of the masses,strengthen the spirit of fighting against various wrong trends of thought,but also put forward a thorough break with the ignorant and decadent traditional ideas of the old society,take building advanced culture as the starting point,abandon traditional culture,treat foreign cultures objectively,build proletarian culture guided by Marxism,and develop socialist culture serving the people;on this basis,Lenin further proposed the idea of cultivating a new generation of people into a communist society through socialist cultural construction,especially through communist education.Secondly,it analyzes Lenin’s thoughts on the task of socialist culture construction from the aspects of ideological and moral and discipline construction,improvement of mass cultural quality and development of cultural undertakings.Lenin put forward the task of carrying out ideological and political work by combining theoretical "indoctrination" with propaganda and agitation.He emphasized that through communist education,the masses should master Marxist theory,firm communist ideals and beliefs,cultivate communist morality and enhance self-consciousness of discipline.Lenin made clear the tasks of developing literature and art,press and publication,radio,film and television,libraries and museums and other cultural undertakings,emphasizing the need to improve the cultural quality of the masses.Finally,it studies Lenin’s thoughts on the guarantee of socialist cultural construction from the aspects of strengthening the Party’s leadership over culture,carrying out cultural revolution,developing educational and scientific undertakings and bringing into play the role of intellectuals.Lenin put forward a series of measures to realize cultural leadership by reforming the system and mechanism of cultural leadership,strengthening the cultural construction of proletariat political parties and so on.He stressed the importance of insisting on the Party’s leadership in socialist cultural construction.Lenin elevated cultural construction to the height of national strategy,and proposed to promote Soviet socialist culture by means of cultural revolution,pointed out the strategic key points and breakthrough points of cultural revolution,emphasized that strengthening rural cultural construction is the key point,but we should avoid impatience;At the same time,Lenin also proposed that through the development of scientific undertakings,school education and social education,cultural and educational level should be raised,and people’s ideological and moral quality,scientific knowledge level and scientific and cultural quality should be improved.Lenin emphasized that the masses were the main body of cultural creation,attached great importance to giving full play to the role of intellectuals as the main force in cultural construction,put forward a policy of uniting,respecting and caring intellectuals,and stressed actively transforming and guiding bourgeois intellectuals to serve the cause of Soviet socialism.The fourth part(Chapter 6)explores the historical status and Contemporary Enlightenment of Lenin’s socialist cultural construction thought from two levels based on the combination of theory and practice.Firstly,from the historical position,it explores the positive role of Lenin’s thought of socialist cultural construction in the history of socialist development from three aspects: Developing Marxist cultural theory,guiding the cultural construction of the Soviet Union,and consolidating and developing the cause of Soviet socialism.Secondly,it expounds the application and development of Lenin’s socialist cultural construction thought by the Chinese Communists since the founding of our party.Following the law of cultural construction,this paper expounds the practical enlightenment left by Lenin’s thought of socialist cultural construction,in order to provide useful reference for the construction of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics.
