A Prefabricated Corrugated Steel Plate Shear Wall(PCSPSW),as a new type of Corrugated Steel Plate Shear Wall,is arranged in the frame and is only connected to the frame beams.A PCSPSW is composed of a corrugated steel plate,vertical boundary elements,fish plates and connecting plates.The PCSPSW are prefabricated in the factory and are installed in the frame conveniently.Because of no connection with the frame columns,the width of PCSPSW is not restricted by the span of the frame beam.Therefore,PCSPSWs can be placed at any position of the frame according to the architectural design,and can avoid the door and window openings easily.Besides,the width and thickness of a PCSPSW can both be adjusted freely to meet the requirement of shear capacity.Since the PCSPSWs are prefabricated,they can be installed in the frame in a relatively short construction period.The properly designed PCSPSW can even be manufactured as standard components of the structure,reducing the cost of designing and manufacturing.At first,shear elastic buckling behaviors of PCSPSWs are investigated.A theoretical analysis model including the corrugated steel plate and vertical boundary elements is proposed.The principle of minimum potential energy and the calculus of variations is applied on the model and buckling equations are derived.Explicit key dimensionless parameters,namely rigidity ratios,are proposed accordingly.Then the Finite Element Analysis(FEA)is performed to further calculate the elastic shear buckling modes and buckling loads of the PCSPSWs.As a result,the formulas for calculating the elastic buckling loads are obtained by fitting the FEA results and rigidity ratios are involved in the formulas.Then the elastic-plastic shear behaviors of PCSPSWs are investigated via FEA.The shear bearing capacities of PCSPSWs under monotonic loading and hysteretic loading are calculated separately,and the influences of different parameters on the elastic-plastic behavior are investigated.The design formulas for predicting the ultimate shear-bearing capacities of PCSPSWs are proposed.Then the interaction between the frames and the PCSPSWs are investigated.The additional load of PCSPSWs on the frame is derived theoretically.The FEA is performed and the results indicating that the effect of the frame on the shear-bearing capacity of PCSPSW is negligible in common range of practical engineering.Finally,an experimental investigation into PCSPSW’s shear hysteretic performance is completed.The experimental test included four specimens of different sizes,thicknesses,and connections.The experimental results are helpful in understanding the shear behavior of PCSPSWs in-depth.The finite element simulations of experimental specimens are carried out and compared with the experimental results to verify the reliability of the Finite Element model.
