This paper proposes the concept of "Tissering space" in an attempt to go beyond the usual understanding of "weaving" as a mere handicraft and to study the weaving vocabulary of architectural forms from the perspective of weaving, emphasising that weaving can be experimentally expanded in a broad, interdisciplinary sense. The study This paper takes the " Tissering space" as the entry point for the study of weaving and architectural forms, and places it in a dynamic, pluralistic and cross-border open system to build a new field for its objective analysis, comprehensive interpretation and experimental generation. At the same time, the research on weaving and architectural forms is conducted from different dimensions and perspectives in an empirical manner,so that new forms with more contemporary values can emerge. The first chapter of the thesis,"Weaving: A Form of Things",interprets the "weaving" of handicrafts from the perspective of creation; The second chapter," From weaving to Tissering",discusses the relationship between "weaving" and architecture from Semper’s theory of the four elements of architecture, and studies weaving and original construction from enclosure to wall.At the same time,it discusses the origin of the two;The third chapter," Tissering--a kind of weaving as an architectural form",from a morphological point of view, focuses on the theme of weave and architectural form, combining practical examples to illustrate the different spatial forms that weave presents in the field of architecture,as well as the connotation of weave as a spatial poetics. The fourth chapter,"Multidimensional Morphological Experimentsof Tissering",takes cross-border weaving experiments as the starting point, and explores the possibilities of "weaving" as an experimental form from the perspective of material, bionic and technology. The fifth chapter,"The arrival of digital Tissering",An experiment in form innovation by combining weaving and digital technology in the field of architecture in the digital age,to explore parametric design and digitally generated Tissering and to investigate the future direction of "digital Tissering".The "Conclusion" section offers further thoughts and imagery on the future of "Tissering". |
