At present,affected by the trend of the world economy and the decline in consumer spending power,Chinese enterprises are facing a deteriorating external environment.The composition-basic view holds that compositional strategic innovation is an effective way for Chinese enterprises to cope with the harsh external environment and improve their competitive advantages.According to the theory of institutional change,the thought of "vigorous and promising",the culture leading belief of top managers,has an important influence on the compositional strategic innovation of enterprises.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the influence of senior managers’ "vigorous and promising" thought on compositional strategy based on the composition-basic view and institutional change theory to guide enterprises improving their competitive advantages through compositional strategy innovation.Through literature research method,the relevant theories and literatures at home and abroad are sorted out and reviewed,and the research questions are put forward.Through the exploratory case study,this paper explores the effect mechanism of"vigorous and promising" thought of senior managers on compositional strategic innovation,and puts forward the initial research proposition.Then,based on the related research at home and abroad,the inner influence mechanism of "vigorous and promising" thought of top managers on the compositional strategic innovation is of deeper theoretical discussion.A more detailed research hypothesis is been put forward,and on this basis to build the theory model of "vigorous and promising" thought of top managers,resource orchestration and compositional strategic innovation.Finally,in strict accordance with the principles and procedures of the questionnaire survey method,the "vigorous and promising" thought scale development,questionnaire design,small sample survey,through formal questionnaire issuance to collect relevant data,and use a series of scientific empirical methods to effectively test and demonstrate the hypotheses proposed in this study.According to valid empirical analysis,the main conclusions include:First,the three dimensions of senior managers’ "vigorous and promising" thought,unremitting and self-improvement,holding world with virtue and vigorous and upright,have significant positive effects on compositional strategic innovation,but the effects are different.The three dimensions of senior managers’ "vigorous and promising" thought,unremitting and self-improvement,holding world with virtue and vigorous and upright,have significant positive impacts on the compositional ability.In the above three dimensions,senior managers’ "holding world with virtue" thought has the greatest impact on the compositional ability.The three dimensions of"vigorous and promising" thought of senior managers,unremitting and self-improvement,holding world with virtue and vigorous and upright,have significant positive impacts on the compositional competition.Among the above three dimensions,the "unremitting self-improvement" thought of senior managers has the greatest impact on the compositional competition.The three dimensions of senior managers’ "vigorous and promising" thought,unremitting and self-improvement,holding world with virtue and vigorous and upright have significant positive impacts on the compositional offer.In the above three dimensions,the"vigorous and moderate" thought of senior managers has the greatest impact on the compositional offer.Second,the three dimensions of senior managers’ "vigorous and promising"thought,unremitting and self-improvement,holding world with virtue and vigorous and upright,have significant positive effects on resource orchestration,but the effects are different.The three dimensions of senior managers’ "vigorous and promising"thought,unremitting and self-improvement,holding world with virtue and vigorous and upright,have significant positive impacts on the construction of resource combination.In the above three dimensions,the thought of "vigorous and upright" of senior managers has the greatest influence on the construction of resource combination.The three dimensions of senior managers’ "vigorous and promising"thought,unremitting and self-improvement,holding world with virtue and vigorous and upright,have significant positive impacts on the resource convergence and integration.In the above three dimensions,the thought of "vigorous and upright" of senior managers has the greatest influence on the resource convergence and integration.The three dimensions of senior managers’ "vigorous and promising"thought,unremitting and self-improvement,holding world with virtue and vigorous and upright,have significant positive influences on resource capability utilization.In the above three dimensions,the thought of "unremitting and self-improvement" of senior managers has the greatest impact on the resource capability utilization.Thirdly,the three dimensions of resource orchestration,resource combination construction,resource convergence and integration,and resource capability utilization,have significant positive effects on compositional strategic innovation,but the effects are different.The three dimensions of resource orchestration,resource combination construction,resource convergence and integration,and resource capability utilization,have significant positive influences on compositional capability.Among the three dimensions of resource orchestration,resource convergence and integration has the greatest influence on compositional ability.The three dimensions of resource orchestration,resource combination construction,resource convergence and integration,and resource capability utilization,have significant positive effects on compositional competition.Among the three dimensions of resource orchestration,resource capability utilization has the greatest influence on compositional competition.The three dimensions of resource orchestration,resource combination construction,resource convergence and integration,and resource capability utilization,have significant positive impacts on compositional offer.Among the three dimensions of resource orchestration,resource capability utilization has the greatest influence on compositional offer.Fourth,resource orchestration plays an intermediary role in the relationship between senior managers’ "vigorous and promising" thought and compositional strategic innovation.The three dimensions of resource orchestration,resource combination construction,resource convergence and integration,and resource capability utilization,play mediating roles in the relationship between the three dimensions of senior managers’ "vigorous and promising" thought(unremitting and self-improvement,holding world with virtue and vigorous and upright)and compositional capability,and play mediating roles in the relationship between the three dimensions of senior managers’ "vigorous and promising" thought(unremitting and self-improvement,holding world with virtue and vigorous and upright)and compositional competition,and play mediating roles in the relationship between the three dimensions of senior managers’ "vigorous and promising" thought(unremitting and self-improvement,holding world with virtue and vigorous and upright)and compositional offer.Fifth,strategic implementation ability plays a moderating role in the relationship between resource orchestration and compositional strategic innovation.Strategy implementation ability plays moderating roles in the relationship between resource combination construction,resource convergence and integration,resource capability utilization and compositional capability.Strategy implementation ability plays moderating roles in the relationship between resource combination construction,resource convergence and integration,and resource capability utilization on compositional competition.Strategic implementation ability plays moderating roles in the relationship between resource combination construction,resource convergence and integration,and resource capability utilization on compositional offer.The innovations are as follows:First,the scale development of "vigorous and promising" thought,the cultural leading belief of senior managers,provides an effective measurement tool for future empirical research based on the "vigorous and promising" thought of senior managers,which is the enrichment and expansion of local cultural characteristics and strategic management research.Second,based on the theory of institutional change theory and resource orchestration,constructed the theoretical model of the "vigorous and promising"thought of the top managers,resource orchestration and compositional strategic innovation".Found that the thought of "vigorous and promising",as the driving factor of senior managers’ spirit,can promote senior managers to arrange resources actively in time to match the business environment and realize compositional strategic innovation.This study not only helps to uncover the black box between the culture leading belief of top managers on compositional strategic innovation,but also expands the application scope of institutional change theory and resource orchestration theory.Third,it proposes suggestions for the senior managers of Chinese enterprises to carry forward the idea of "vigorous and promising",improve the cultural confidence of the senior managers of Chinese enterprises,and provide a driving factor for Chinese enterprises to adopt complex strategic innovation to obtain competitive advantages.Fourthly,it is suggested that enterprises lacking heterogeneous resources should consider using complex strategic innovation to enhance their competitive advantage.It provides a path and scheme for Chinese enterprises to obtain cost advantage,speed advantage and high quality products through compound strategy. |
