| China is the largest manufacturing country of household appliances.However,2D Design is generally adopted in metal mold design.The method relies heavily on human experience in the design process,which leads to low design efficiency and poor design quality.In order to improve the efficiency and quality of design and get rid of the dependence on human experience,artificial intelligence(AI)will be a solution.As the mold design belongs to a single case,the traditional AI method based on massive data is not applicable.Therefore,the study of an artificial intelligence method for metal mold design of household appliances has great theoretical and practical significance.Under the support of the project of “3D Intelligent Design System of Household Appliances Metal Mold” entrusted by Midea Group and Gree Electric,the author made deeply research and develop to the intelligent design of metal mold.An artificial intelligence method for metal mold design is presented.The intelligent theory and application method of mold process and structure design are established respectively.An intelligent system of3 D metal mold design is developed,which has reached the industrial application level.For the existing feature recognition methods can not accurately identify the trend feature and detail feature of home appliance sheet metal parts.This paper proposes the representation method based on contour surface attribute adjacency graph and the representation method based on double-layer rule.Based on the representation method,the trend feature and detail feature can be recognized,and the feature parameters can be extracted,which provides support for similar retrieval and intelligent design of mold process and structure.An artificial intelligence method for metal mold design is presented,which is a designoriented artificial intelligence method based on intelligent template,rule-based reasoning and intelligent analogy design.As the application of template runs through the design process,the constructed theory of intelligent template is presented.In order to meet the requirement of “self-adaptive” of template,a variety of rule reasoning method are proposed to realize automatic reasoning of design specifications and calculated formulas,and intelligent analogy design method is proposed to realize intelligent retrieval and reuse of historical schemes and design experience.The artificial intelligence method for metal mold design is applied to the intelligent design of process and structure,process template,feature process template,3D designoriented instruction template,die skeleton template,punch template and standard part layout template et al are constructed,which are instantiated by rules and intelligent analogy reasoning.The feasibility of intelligent design method is verified by corresponding examples.In order to verify the feasibility and advanced nature of the artificial intelligence method for metal mold design,an intelligent design system for 3D metal mold was developed based on Siemens NX platform.Through the example analysis and software comparison,compared with 2D metal mold design software,the design efficiency is higher than 400%,the reduction of design abnormality is as high as 90%,and the personnel is reduced by 80%.Compared with other 3D metal mold design software,the system has obvious advanced intelligence and high automation. |
