| Health is an eternal topic of human concern.Tourism and health are intrinsically closely linked,and have become a research hotspot of interest for tourism and its interdisciplinary disciplines in recent years.Tourism for health experience,happiness,social well-being and the characteristics of destination attributes it points to are the initial areas of established therapeutic landscape research.Is there a clear generative law for the therapeutic of tourism destination as the carrier?If so,what are its basic structural components,pathways,and processes of formation?These are theoretical and practical propositions that need to be answered.This study takes the theory of therapeutic landscape as the basis of research,and integrates multidisciplinary theories and knowledge such as restorative environment theory,actor network theory,and self-determination theory.We initially define the concept of the therapeutic of tourism destination,and selects the domestic hot tourism destination the Old Town of Lijiang as a case site,and uses the case site tracking survey data lasting four years from 2017 to 2020(more than 1.11 million words of interview text,1179 photos,473 valid sample questionnaire data).Using a combination of qualitative and quantitative,ephemeral and co-temporal analysis methods,we systematically analyze the formation process,results,and influencing factors of the therapeutic of tourism destination.We also summarize and propose the formation mechanism and analysis framework of the therapeutic of tourism destination,focusing on therapeutic stage characteristics,generation logic,and practice construction.The first three chapters introduce the background significance of the research topic,sort out the research results related to environment and health,tourism and health,and clarify the connotation of the concept of the therapeutic of tourism destination,explain the theoretical basis and research perspective of the research selection,and show the typicality of the research cases and specific research lines and methods.Chapter 4,from the dual perspective of ephemerality and co-occurrence,analyzes the staged therapeutic features presented in the development process of the Old Town of Lijiang and proposes a reflection on the therapeutic precedence and construction of tourism destination.Chapter 5 discusses the generative logic of the therapeutic of tourism destination,and clarifies the starting point,process and clues of the generative logic;Chapter 6 summarizes the practical construction of the therapeutic of tourism destination,the process and the presentation of therapeutic meaning;Chapter 7 tests the structural effects of the therapeutic of tourism destination;Chapter 8 describes the research conclusions,main contributions and research innovations,and presents the shortcomings and outlook of this study.The findings of this study are as follows.(1)The therapeutic of tourism destination is the result of the harmonious symbiosis and integrated action of physical,social and symbolic environments.The overall interaction and harmonious symbiosis of the three environments provide the structure and conditions of the three major resource components:physical,emotional and social,and avoid the dilution of the explanatory power of the concept of therapeutic by emphasizing a single environmental element.(2)The generation of the therapeutic of tourism destination is a continuous dynamic process,emphasizing stability and continuity and continuous change.In fact,the "here and now" tourism destination therapeutic is the continuation,integration,transformation and reproduction of the material and immaterial elements of the "there and then",which indicates that the therapeutic of tourism destination has the multi-dimensional characteristics of ephemerality and co-occurrence,rootedness and fluidity,singularity and comprehensiveness.(3)The process of generating the therapeutic of tourism destination is influenced by local multi-level and multi-type elements.Institutions and capital are the fundamental structural dynamics of the generation of tourism destination therapeutic,and economic,cultural,and ecological order are the accelerators and stabilizers of the generation of tourism destination therapeutic,which confirm that the generation of health and happiness is a collection of multiple local components.(4)Practice construction is a necessary condition for the generation and development of the therapeutic of tourism destination,and the meaning of therapeutic is the result of co-creation by multiple subjects.Space,time,and social practices construct a new orientation of the interaction between environment and health,and through the continuous integration of tourists' perceptions and experiences,subjective meaningfulness is supplemented and strengthened,clarifying that the essence of tourism destination therapeutic generation is the interdependence between human existence and ecological environment,breaking through the one-sided understanding of environment and health by environmental determinism and self-determination theory.(5)The effects of physical,social,and symbolic environments of tourism destination therapeutic on the physical and mental health of tourists are positively and significantly correlated,and show differential results.The "anti-structure" and"contrast" features implied by the symbolic environment have the most significant effect on the physical and mental health of tourists;the comfort of the physical environment is directly linked to the sensory experience and has the second most significant effect;while the social environment is scattered and random,resulting in a slightly less significant effect.(6)The formation of the therapeutic of tourism destination can be summarized as the integration of both endogenous and exogenous forces in tourist places.The natural background,overall pattern and location conditions accumulate the uniqueness of the internal system of the tourism destination,and this uniqueness is created and constructed by the core community in the external system of the tourism destination with experience,subject consciousness and emotional identity,so that the therapeutic of the tourism destination can be strengthened and become a local meaningful representation.The innovation of this study are:(1)Continuously traced and elucidated the constructive,social,interactive and systemic meaning of the therapeutic of tourism destination.and the formation and evolution of the therapeutic are responded and supplemented with the entry point of the evolution of local development,environmental changes,as well as the perceptual experiences of different groups.(2)It enriches and constructs an analytical framework of therapeutic from the perspective of tourism destinations,and breaks through the individual-centeredness and anthropocentrism of the "causality" or "explanatory mechanism" of the therapeutic process.(3)It establishes the inner law of the development of the therapeutic of tourism destination in terms of the internal and external system connection,the tourism destination-tourist interaction and the process,and clarifies the overall understanding of environment and health,tourism and health,which is based on the dynamic relationship of"place-health-subjectivity".(4)It reveals the three-dimensional environmental content composition,three-level health meaning structure,and endogenous development path of the therapeutic of tourism destination.In terms of theory,this study can provide a new theoretical perspective for the study of the interaction between tourism places and health promotion.It promotes the deepening and localization of theoretical research on therapeutic landscapes,and broaden the research fields of tourism destination management and tourism behavior;in terms of practice,it can provide practical guidance for tourism destination to effectively respond to the needs of tourism to achieve a good life.However,the scope of case studies can be further expanded,and the data structure and usage should be further optimized.At the same time,the author believes that continuous tracking and comparative analysis of the generation,construction and maintenance of therapeutic landscapes in different tourism destinations is a direction and content,it is worthy of attention in therapeutic research. |
