| The number of mobile short-video users in China has attained 0.8 billion by the end of March 2020,accounting for 86%of total netizens.Mobile short-video has become a new cusp of mobile internet,as it ascends to be the third popular mobile application after surpassing the integrated video.Furthermore,affected by the spread of COVID-19,its user group gets further expanded in the latter half of 2020 with its daily average viewing hours reaching 0.3 billion hours.It has become a new hot-spot of development in the age of internet.Although short-video market has witnessed some improvements such as formation of a benign competition,better content quality and enhanced copyright awareness,it's still plagued by a string of ecological issues as an emerging form and business.How to dig out the factors influencing information behaviors of short-video users,maintain and balance the short-video eco-system on the basis of users'information behavioral patterns,rules and network structures,information behavior evolving process,their multi-dimensional information behaviors and scenarios,and guarantee a sustainable and benign development of the short-video industry have become some new challenges to the short-video user information behaviors management.With mobile short-video users'information behaviors as the research object,this paper has employed various interdisciplinary theories from information ecology,behavioral science and system dynamics to investigate into the problems concerning information behaviors of mobile short-video users.We have constructed first an information behavioral mechanism model of mobile short-video users in accordance with theories from behavioral science and information ecology in the hope to analyze the mechanism therein.This step serves to form the core theoretical framework for the whole paper.Then,the factors affecting the information behaviors of mobile short-video users are put into study with Grounded Theory,their patterns and network structure are analyzed using complex network theory,and an information behavioral evolvement model is set up based on system dynamics-derived model in the way of simulation study.In the last place,based on the findings of theoretical study above,some mobile short-video platform-specific service strategies are proposed from the perspective of users'information behaviors.The whole paper is developed in the pattern of“theoretical framework—core analysis—theoretical implementation”.Theoretical study and practical implementation are closely related to each other in the last stage of study in order to present a systematic and complete view of the mobile short-video users'information behaviors.A detailed explanation of the study is provided below:In Chapter 3,a study is carried out on the mechanism behind the information behaviors of mobile short-video users.Based on the theories from behavior science and findings of previous scholars,both at home and abroad,a process model is built after the information behaviors of mobile short-video users.Information ecological theories are adopted hereby to analyze the influencing factors,driving force and inner mechanism behind such information behaviors.After that,a mechanism model is created to deconstruct the relationship of mechanism therein.This chapter offers the critical theoretical framework for the whole paper.Chapter 4 is about a study on the factors affecting the information behaviors of mobile short-video users.By focusing on the core objective of studying influencing factors behind the information behaviors of mobile short-video users,it develops the study on the basis of grounded theory pattern.After acquiring in-depth substantial materials,we set out to encode those factors by following the theoretical pattern and build a model of the factors with grounded theory as the fundamental theory.At last,some notions are interpreted and results are analyzed.This part provides support for the subsequent Chapter 6 and 7.A study on the characteristics and network structure of mobile short-video users is conducted in Chapter 5.A conceptual model of users'information behavioral characteristics is constructed first.Then Android-based smart phone is configured and ROOT-ed before being programmed with Java language.Altogether 217,360 pieces of video data from DOUYIN have been collected,which are later analyzed with induction&deduction and social network analysis approaches.An empirical study on and elaborated analysis of the overall features,information retrieval&recommendation behavioral characteristics,information release characteristics,information sharing characteristics and network characteristics are finished using mathematical statistics,sentiment analytical tools,segmentation tools and Gephi software.Both Chapter 6 and 7 are theoretically supported by this chapter.Chapter 6 offers an evolving model of the mobile short-video users'information behaviors.In this chapter,based on related studies conducted by both domestic and overseas scholars,basis and thought for building an evolving model are proposed according to the theories from systematic dynamics and information behaviors.Then,the evolving model V-SI_bR comes into being.Its balance point and threshold value are figured out.And 33parameter plans in 11 groups are come up with.The model is later simulated with Matlab.Simulation result is analyzed in order to discuss the evolvement of mobile short-video users'information behaviors.The chapter offers theoretical support for Chapter 7.Chapter 7 research on the countermeasures of mobile short-video services based on users'information behavior.In this chapter,based on the research results in Chapter 4,according to the status quo and problems related to the mobile short-video user services as well as the users'information behavior,the countermeasures to upgrade the service level for the mobile short-video users are put forward.Based on the research results in Chapter 5,the countermeasures to administer the chaos arising from the growth of the mobile short-videos are given.Based on the information ecology theory as well as the research results in Chapters 4,5 and 6,the countermeasures to optimize the mobile short-video service ecology are set forth.By closely following the research tendencies among domestic and overseas scholars,this paper has developed an exploration,both theoretically and practically.It,thus,appears worthy of notice when examined from either theoretical or practical perspective.Theoretically speaking,it may help to promote the development of theoretical system concerning mobile short-video users'information behaviors,deepen the application of information ecology theories to the field of aforesaid information behaviors,and provide theoretical support for enhancing the management of the users'information behaviors.In terms of practice,this paper is helpful for relevant departments and enterprises to improve the service level for mobile short-video users,strengthen the management of mobile short-video,and optimize the service ecology of mobile short-video.In future research,we will stay close to the interdisciplinary research trends,discuss research perspectives and development opportunities about blending medicine with information,explore the technical application strengths of mobile short-video,and initiate studies on healthy information behaviors,healthy information management,healthy information behaviors intervention,and users'healthy information behaviors. |
