International collaboration is an important strategy for national Science&Technology development and an important way to enhance national soft power. The international collaborative publications are an important part of international scientific collaboration, and provide data for studying the affecting factors, status and impact of China's international collaboration. The growth of China's international collaboration publications, funding, mobili ty of scholars have promoted China's international academic visibility. Therefore,it is of great significance to study the impact of China's international collaborations on the construction of “double first-class university” and international collaboration management. This study conducts empirical research on the impact of academic publications, which are correlation analysis between citation impact indicators, and impact evaluation of academic papers. This paper provides a new research aspect and method for analyzing the impact of China's international collaboration academic papers and managing China's international scientific collaboration. In addition to the introduction, conclusions and discussion, the content of this thesis is divided into five chapters:Chapter 2 is the relevant theoretical analysis and subject definition.Furthermore, scientific research collaboration, international collaboration, academic paper are defined at this Chapter. The motivations of international collaboration, methods and indicators of citation analysis, and the related theories of mathematical modeling(regression analysis and evaluation models)are analyzed.Chapter 3 is the research framework of China's international collaboration impact analysis.Firstly,it analyzes th e composition of the impact indicators of China's international collaboration, the original and secondary impact factors of academic papers, and constructs the original and secondary impact indicators system of China's international collaboration papers.S econdly,it summarizes the affecting factors of China's international collaboration which mainly includes state, institution and scholar levels, and the effectiveness of those factors;finally,it constructs the research framework of China's international collaborative papers, analyzes the correlation between the impact factors and number of citations and constructs an impact evaluation model of Chinese international collaborations.Chapter 4 is the analysis of the quantitative distribution characteristics of Chinese international collaborations. It mainly includes the analysis of quantitative characteristics at the national, institutional and disciplinary levels,as well as the scale of collaborations(number of authors, institutions and countries),distribution of leadership, and analysis of distribution of funding. This Chapter also analyzes the distribution of collaborative countries, discipline when China plays leading and non-leading roles,as well as the distribution of leadership under different collaborative team size and number of funding. At this part, the paper analyzes the evolution of China's international collaboration team size since 1980 and analyzes the development trend of the average team size of China's international collaboration from the perspective of the average number of authors, institutions and countries in the paper.Chapter 5 is the analysis of the citation impact of China's international collaborations. It mainly includes citation impact analysis of normalized citations and percentage of highly cited papers under different affecting factors,as well as the team size(number of authors, institutions and countries),funding and leadership models.Meanwhile,it analyzes the distribution of large-scale international collaborations that China participates in and analyzes the changes in the number of citations and the team size between China-leading and nonleading.Furthermore,it studies the relative citation impact of China's nonfunded and funded papers which involved in internationa l collaborations, and statistics the proportion of funded highly-cited papers.Chapter 6 is an empirical analysis of the impact of China's international collaborations.Firstly, the correlation between impact factors and citation impact is analyzed. The correlation between mainly affecting factors and citation impact is analyzed by establishing multiple linear regression models. The chosen affecting factors which are collaborative technology intensity, team size, funding,Altmetrics indicators.Meanwhile, analyses the correlation between the selected eight Altmetrics indicators and the Altmetric Attention Score.Secondly, utilizes China's international collaborative comprehensive impact evaluation model to calculate the impact score of each paper, ranking th e papers according to the impact score, and the characteristics of the high impact score paper are analyzed. Finally, according to the analysis at this chapter, the optimization suggestions and countermeasures of China's international collaborations have b een proposed. This research is funded by the National Social Science Found Major Project of China(18ZDA325),the National Social Science Found Project of China(16BTQ055)and the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities(Independent Research Projects of Wuhan University(Humanities and Social Sciences)).
