Research On The Cultivation Of Chinese College Students' Public Spirit

As a value orientation based on society,Public spirit is the basic requirement of the main body of the modernization of national governance and the soft power to realize the modernization of national governance.As the most energetic youth group in China,the builders and successors of China's socialist cause,college students shoulder the important task of the times of national prosperity,national rejuvenation and people's happiness.The quality of college students is related to the future quality of the nation.Therefore,it can be said that if college students are prosperous,the country will be prosperous,if college students are strong,the country will be strong for a long time.If college students have ideals,abilities and responsibilities,the country will have a future and the nation will have hope.The basic condition for college students to be able to “prosper”,be “strong” and be “responsible” is that they have the consciousness and ability to take public affairs,public utilities and public interests as the starting point of behavior choice in public life,that is,they have public spirit.Because as a spirit of participation,the public spirit isn't human natural disposition,it can't be based on private life experience and emotion,but on public life experience and public reason.Therefore,we can say that the public spirit needs to be cultivated,rather than formed spontaneously.University period is the key period for college students to form a worldview,master knowledge and cultivate ability.Therefore,it is of great significance and value to strengthen the cultivation of their public spirit at this stage.At the same time,as the development of the market economy brings the extreme proliferation of individualism and full of money fetishes,the numbness of “entertainment to death”brought about by new media,and the serious lack of public awareness of college students caused by the insufficient development of current social public space,it also makes it an urgent problem for the country and society to strengthen the cultivation of college students' public spirit in the new era.In view of this,this paper focuses on the cultivation of Chinese college students' public spirit,in order to inject a modest force into the effective promotion of national governance modernization.This paper starts with clarifying the connotation of core concepts such as “college students”“public”“public spirit”“college students' public spirit”and “college students' public spirit cultivation”.It takes political socialization theory,publicity theory,synergy theory and acceptance theory as the theoretical foundation.This paper analyzes the theoretical logic and practical necessity of strengthening the cultivation of college students' public spirit,and through combing and analyzing the basic content and influencing factors of college students' public spirit,constructs the evaluation index system of college students' public spirit based on the two dimensions of cultivation content and cultivation subject,and takes it as the evaluation standard of college students' public spirit.On this basis,this paper carries out a questionnaire survey and interview survey on college students,counselors and parents,and combined with the positive and negative cases of college students' public spirit disclosed by the media,investigates and analyzes the overall situation of college students' public spirit,discusses the performance and reasons of the weakening of current college students' public spirit.This paper holds that many college students' weakening of public spirit is mainly manifested in the following aspects,the cognition of the public spirit is vague,the awareness of public responsibility is relatively lacking,the awareness of public participation is insufficient,and the awareness of public rules is weak,etc.The influencing factors that lead to the weakening of college students' public spirit include six levels,the state,society,college,family,network and individual.The main performance is that the overall top-level design and guidance and specification of college students' public consciousness cultivation at the national level are not in place,the development of social public space is not sufficient,the cultivation system of college students' public spirit is not scientific and perfect,the neglect of family education on the cultivation of public spirit,the lack of effective management of cyberspace and the lack of self-cultivation ability of college students,etc.In order to seek the beneficial experience of strengthening the cultivation of Chinese college students' public spirit,this paper combs and analyzes the cultivation practice of college students' public spirit in the United States,Japan,Singapore and Russia.This paper argues that although western countries emphasize individualism,they still have some useful practices in the cultivation of citizens' public spirit,including their guidance at the national level,the arrangement of classroom and extracurricular education and practice,the infiltration of religious and cultural education and mass media,and so on.It should be said that their cultivation of citizens' national consciousness,social responsibility consciousness,participation spirit,innovation spirit,voluntary service spirit,legal spirit,collectivism spirit,unity and cooperation,tolerance and mutual accommodation is fruitful.Generally speaking,western countries provide four lessons for the cultivation of Chinese college students' public spirit,promoting the construction of national rule of law,optimizing the social public environment,strengthening classroom teaching and enriching extracurricular practical activities.Based on the theoretical basis,index system and practical basis of the cultivation of the public spirit of Chinese college students,with reference to the cultivation practice of the public spirit of college students abroad,this paper believes that the cultivation of the public spirit of Chinese college students should be carried out at the four levels of the country,society,colleges and families.Make use of technical resources and platforms such as the Internet and new media,pay attention to the psychological and behavioral characteristics of college students,and construct a comprehensive and complete training system.Specifically,first,it is necessary to consolidate the institutional foundation for the cultivation of the public spirit of college students at the national level.Second,create a platform and field for the public spiritual practice of college students at the social level.Third,stand firmly at the forefront of the cultivation of college students' public spirit at the college level.Fourth,shape the integrated environment for the formation of college students' public spirit at the family level.Furthermore,make full use of advanced technologies and resources such as the Internet and new media,so as to provide a full range of conditions and platforms for the cultivation of college students' public spirit,build up the national guarantees,social responsibility,universities dominant,family cooperation,network supervision,personal cultivation internal and external linkage up and down coordination of six in one college students public collaborative training system,in order to promote the overall improvement of college students' public spirit,and lay the foundation for college students to become useful,usable and reliable talents with “knowledge,ability and responsibility” in the new era of national governance and development.
