Modern apprenticeship as a vocational education talent training model in China is underway.In 2014,the Ministry of Education issued the“Opinions of the Ministry of Education on the Pilot Work of Modern Apprenticeship”to officially launch the pilot work of the modern apprenticeship.Apprenticeship has a long history in China as a traditional technical practice learning method.The essential difference between traditional apprenticeship and modern apprenticeship is very small,but there is a big difference in form,such as the modernization of the mentoring relationship.Therefore,we need to use the career perspective to explore the value of mentoring as a skill practice learning method in the cultivation of modern vocational education talents,that is,why should we restore traditional apprenticeship in the modern vocational education?What impact does apprentice experience has on your career success? The answers to these series of questions can fundamentally answer the value needs of China's current implementation of modern apprenticeship,which is also a prerequisite for China's construction of the modern apprenticeship in modern society.At present,the apprenticeship-related research pays less attention to the beneficiaries in the mentoring,namely,the lack of attention to people themselves.The study of the apprentice experience and career success of technical experts will help us answer the mentoring as a practical learning,its role in the process of vocational education talent training,and thinking about what kind of talents should be cultivated and how to cultivate them in the vocational education.This research mainly adopts qualitative research based on constructivism methodology,and takes the "career" perspective of the study,based on in-depth interviews with industry experts with apprentice experience.The impact of apprentices on career success and its characterization,combined with the achievements of philosophy,psychology,management and education.The value of the apprenticeship revival in the reform of talent training,and the areas that need to be continuously improved.In order to analyze how the apprenticeship experience affects personal career success,this research uses grounded theory research methods,using in-depth interviews and observations as the main data collection method,and selects 50 industry experts with apprenticeship experience are taken as the research object,and their apprentice experience and career development are coded in the three levels of the grounded theory,and the coding results are analyzed.In the end,the research suggests that career identity,career competence,and social relationship in the apprentice experience have an impact on the subjective and objective level of career success.Firstly,the career identity in the apprenticeship experience refers to career ethics,career perception and career adaptability.Career identity is a prerequisite for individuals to obtain career competence.The career identity in the apprenticeship is a basic element to promote one's career development.Secondly,the career competence in the apprenticeship experience is represented by professional knowledge,practical skills and professional attitude.The improvement of the career competence in apprenticeship experience is the core element to promote career development.Finally,the social relationship in the apprenticeship experience is represented by mentoring relationship,peer group relationship and important others relationship.The social relationships in apprenticeships is a key element in promoting career development.This study indicates that apprenticeship experience can be analyzed from the three stages of early career development,mid-career development,and later career development.The interaction between the career identity,career competence,and social relationships will promote career success and career development.In the early stages,apprentices gain additional knowledge through the master.In the middle career stages,apprentices expand their knowledge in a supportive environment through experiential learning.In the later stages,the apprentice's personal experience and advanced skills were supported by the master,and he became a master who guided other apprentices.In this process,the career identity,career competence and social relationship in the apprenticeship experience have an interactive impact on the career development,and play a role in career success in different career development stages.In summary,this study builds a model of the impact of apprentice experience on personal career success,revealing how the career identity,the career competence and the social relationship impact career success and career development.The mentoring in the apprenticeship shows the following specific values in the process of promoting personal career success and career development:(1)The mentoring promotes individuals to quickly adapt to the real situation of career identity;(2)The mentoring promotes individuals' role models to quickly adapt to career identity;(3)The mentoring helps individuals quickly adapt to their identities;(4)The mentoring promotes the improvement of personal technic innovation;(5)The mentoring promotes individual access to work experience;(6)The mentoring promotes individuals to establish social relationships;(7)The mentoring promotes individuals to quickly obtain industry resources;(8)The mentoring promotes individuals to obtain career reputation and publicity.At present,there are still some problems in the pilot work of modern apprenticeship in China's vocational education,such as "it is difficult to ensure a longterm mechanism for school-enterprise cooperation to educate people","lack of a complete apprenticeship guarantee system","lack of national level apprentice training quality certification" And "the lack of labor safety protection for corporate masters and apprentices." Combining the results of the impact of apprentice experience on personal career success,in order to further improve the effect of modern apprenticeship on the quality of vocational education,the following strategies are proposed: strengthen the stable development of the establishment and implementation of the relationship between mentor and apprentice,pay more attention to the apprentice selection qualifications and learning evaluation standards to ensure that all links of the mentoring are supported by relevant systems and standardize the qualifications and training evaluation standards of the masters.
