Since the General Office of the State Council forwarded the "Notice on the Measures for Implementation of Free Education of Students Majoring in Teaching at the Normal Universities Directly under the Ministry of Education(For Trial Implementation)"(Issued by the State Council [2007] No.34)issued by the Ministry of Education and other departments in May 2007,the state and various provinces including Autonomous regions,municipalities directly under the Central Government have successively carried out state-funded education,public-funded education of different subjects and of general subjects in the normal universities directly under the Ministry of Education such as Beijing Normal University and Southwest University,and local normal colleges and universities such as Hunan First Normal University and Huzhou Normal University.It has brought a large number of outstanding music teachers to rural schools and promoted the development of the team of music teachers in rural schools.However,the current situation reveals some problems such as music teachers' lack of educational feelings,inadequate quantity,low comprehensive quality,and poor stability of teaching team.The design and implementation of the curriculum for rural-oriented music teacher still need to be adjusted and improved.Therefore,we must further clarify the graduation requirements and improve the design and implementation of the curriculum for the training of students at the normal universities to be rural-oriented music teachers.The aim is to train a certain number of music teachers with education feelings of rooting in the countryside and teaching for a long term,with the comprehensive literacy of liberal arts and science,multi-disciplinary and multi-ability,and with the teachers' skills of educating students and comprehensive management.The study follow the basic line of thought of proposing related questions,describing the status quo of the rural music teacher team-analyzing the existing model of rural-oriented teacher,constructing graduation requirements for the training of rural-oriented music teachers,upgrading the current curriculum for rural-oriented music teachers and complementing the curriculum for students at the normal universities to be rural-oriented music teachers.Literature research,comparative research,investigation research,case analysis and other research methods were used to figure out the status quo of the directional training of students at the normal universities to be rural-oriented music teachers at the stage,and analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of different training models in a systematic,in-depth and scientific manner.Based on it,it provides a set of practical programs for the design and implementation of the curriculum for students at the normal universities to be rural-oriented music teachers,which can achieve the graduation requirements and meet the needs of the rural music education in rural schools and the overall development needs of rural students.The introduction gives a comprehensive overview of the origin,purpose and significance of the research on the directional training of music teachers in rural schools,defines four main concepts of rural school,talent training,music teacher education,and the design and implementation of the curriculum,reviews the relevant literature on the three aspects of research on rural music education,research on music teachers at university,and research on students at the normal universities to be rural-oriented music teachers,sorts out the research questions and research ideas and summarizes the choice of research methods,and makes a preliminary prediction of the innovation of research.The first chapter is the comprehensive description of the basic status quo of rural music teachers.It pays attention to the combination of theoretical research and empirical investigation,conducting theoretical analysis of existing research results and in-depth interviews with rural music teachers and education administrators.Combining the specific content of relevant research,it systematically analyzes the causes of existing problems of the rural music teacher team,so as to propose the necessity of training students at the normal universities to be rural-oriented music teachers.The second chapter displays a systematic analysis of the exist ing model of students at the normal universities to be rural-oriented music teachers.This chapter comprehensively elaborates the policy background,specific implementation and training of music teachers of the three modes of state-funded education,public-funded education of different subjects and local-funded education of general subjects in the normal universities.Based on it,it summarizes the characteristics and advantages of the three training modes,and point out the urgency and key points to reform and innovate the three training modes.The third chapter is a comprehensive construction of the graduation requirements for training students at the normal universities to be rural-oriented music teachers.This chapter systematically sorts out the actual needs for the construction of graduation requirements.With the outcome-oriented education concept and disciplinary teaching knowledge theory as the theoretical basis,and the Regulations on the Qualifications of Teachers as the main policy basis,it systematically elaborates the basic connotation and constructs the model of the graduation requirements for students at the normal universities to be rural-oriented music teachers.The fourth chapter tries to optimize the curriculum for the training of students at the normal universities to be rural-oriented music teachers.By comparing the curriculum of directional education mode and ordinary education mode,it summarizes the common features and differences of the two training modes.Based on that,it puts forward the conception of the curriculum design for students at the normal universities to be rural-oriented music teachers,and conducts a comprehensive analysis of the curriculum supporting the achievement of the graduation requirements.The fifth chapter makes reasonable assumptions about the implementation of the curriculum to train students at the normal universities to be rural-oriented music teachers.The measures are as follows.We should emphasize the cultivation of educational feeling of students at the normal universities by infiltrating ideals and beliefs,strengthening campus culture,and carrying out social practice activities during the course of complementing curriculum.We should strengthen the teaching practice by integrating the idea of practice,enriching educational practice activities,and establishing educational partnership of volunteering teaching.We should improve the UGS collaborative education mechanism through improving the enrollment and employment system managed by the local government,deepening the curriculum teaching reform led by universities and coordinated by rural schools,and strengthening the theme practice activities of rural schools.The last part summaries the conclusions and innovative points.Based on them,limitations and related future research are also listed.In summary,the training of students at the normal universities to be rural-oriented music teachers is an important way to promote the reform and development of the team of music teachers in rural schools.To train students at the normal universities to be rural-oriented music teachers,we must emphasize teacher ethics,the ability to teach,educate students and improve themselves to further clarify the graduation requirements of normal students,and design a curriculum that can meet the graduation requirements from general education courses,professional music courses,teacher education courses,practical courses and etc.We can also optimize the complementation from focusing on the cultivating educational feelings,upgrading practice environment and establishing UGS coordinated education mechanism.
