In Adorno's philosophical,aesthetic and sociological thoughts,he seldom mentions the two words of philosophy of art and category.In the title of this paper,there are both "philosophy of art" and "category",which is Adorno's "taboo".So,what are the reasons for the introduction of these two keywords? As far as the philosophy of art is concerned,first,from the existence of its thoughts.Among all Adorno's studies,art is the most important research object.A large number of artistic criticism about music,literature,film and drama are mixed with his philosophical views,which become the factual basis for studying Adorno's artistic philosophy.Second,Adorno's aesthetic thought is no longer limited to the classical German thought of "the beauty of art".He discusses the popular and entertainment phenomenon from the perspective of mass culture,and criticizes the classical art life from the perspective of mass culture,that is,the development of modern art under the modern discourse system.Adorno's artistic thought is no longer limited to beauty,but more philosophical thinking--negation and reflection.Therefore,it is right to study Adorno's philosophy of art.As far as category is concerned,category is a collection of philosophical logical thinking and a combination of concepts.When Adorno opposes talking about philosophy by means of conceptualization,the category discussed in this paper is not against his original intention,but just to combine his philosophical views with art,and to study his philosophy of art clearly by means of comments and philosophical speculation It's clear.This paper is divided into seven parts: introduction,the origin of Adorno's art philosophy,the ontological category of Adorno's art philosophy,the epistemological category of Adorno's art philosophy,the axiological category of Adorno's art philosophy,the practical category of Adorno's art philosophy,and the conclusion.The first chapter is the origin of Adorno's philosophy of art.From the development history of Western art to the early 20 th century,the dilemma faced by western modern art leads to the reason why Adorno thinks about modern art.Adorno's philosophy of art has a certain distance from the classical art of beauty.To think about his modern art thought,we must understand his popular culture(later changed to cultural industry)-the culture produced by the mode of technology and industrialization.In addition,we also need to understand the philosophical basis of Adorno's artistic philosophy,which is a kind of denial of philosophy after the enlightenment.The second chapter is Adorno's theory of art essence in the category of art philosophy.Based on what art is,the theory of art essence sums up Adorno's thought of contradiction between art self-discipline and art fame,Adorno's problem of aesthetic modernity of Art(the distance between modern art and traditional aesthetics has been produced)and Adorno's insistence on the non commodity and fetishism nature of modern art.However,Adorno's method is "exclusion",which first excludes what is not art,and then comes to the conclusion that what is art--a kind of art concept summarized by nature.It can be seen that the essence of art studied by Adorno has separated from the western classical art.However,Adorno is not an extreme conservative.He also accepted the modern art of Schoenberg,Beckett and others.Therefore,Adorno's core view of modern art is not beauty,but thinking and criticism derived from negative dialectics.The third chapter studies the epistemological category of Adorno's philosophy of art.Art is Adorno's "spiritual refuge" in the context of modern society.Adorno reposes all his anger and uneasiness after Auschwitz in his art.At the same time,he makes a negative and non identical philosophical thinking on the changeable German social environment.Finally,he believes that art is the last truth to know the world.The fourth chapter is the research on the axiology category of Adorno's art philosophy.Art is the channel to know the world.What channel and method does art use to know the world? This chapter extracts two key words that can represent its artistic value: prism and intermediary.The prism is Adorno's thinking about art through psychological methods,and the intermediary is Adorno's thinking about art through sociological methods.Finally,Adorno regards art as a collection of "real" and "beautiful" things that "save" himself.The fifth chapter is the research of Adorno's philosophy of art practice category.Adorno's artistic practice mainly focuses on artistic criticism,which is embodied in Adorno's evaluation of music,literature,drama and film.From these artistic criticism,we can understand his artistic philosophy.Conclusion:rt is the bridge to the riddle world.In Adorno's 65 years of life,he experienced the life from rich to poor,and then returned to the stable life of university professor.In his childhood,he received a good education about music and philosophy,and put all his thoughts in art.He has a lofty sense of European classical art,but also accepted modern art(but the only thing he did not accept is the popular culture and the artistic life under the popular culture).Art is a very important part of his life,a channel for him to understand the world,and a bridge to understand the riddle like world.
