As the main annotative style of Confucian classics of the Confucian classics in the Northern and Southern dynasties, the origin of formation of Yishuti has always been controversial.Based on the research perspective of the history of exegesis, this paper takes the actual original material of the Yishuti as the direct analysis object, compares the similarities and differences between the Confucian classics and the Buddhist scriptures in the annotation system, and reorganizes the origin of Yishu of the Confucianism in the Northern and Southern Dynasties. It also combs and diachronically studies the development and evolution of the Confucian classics in the Sui and Tang Dynasties.Based on the collation and analysis of the existing works of Yishuti, this paper uses the methods of classification analysis and quantitative statistics to analyze the annotation style of the Confucian classics and Buddhist scriptures in the Southern and Northern Dynasties. Then, this paper uses the method of comparison to summarize the similarities and differences between the Confucian classics and the Buddhist scriptures in the annotation styles, contents and methods. We respectively traced the origin of the annotation style of Yishuti which the "Have" in the Confucian classics and "Not have"(or there are obvious differences)in the Buddhist scriptures, and the "Both have" in the Confucian classics and the Buddhist scriptures.Judging from the materials we have found, the formation of Yishu of the Confucian Confucianism in the Southern and Northern dynasties did not come from only one source, nor from a single line. The formations of the form, contents and methods of Yishu were not only inspired and influenced by the explanatory styles of previous annotation, but also influenced by the pre-Qin classics, prefaces, historical books,Metaphysical and Taoist classics as well as the Buddhist scriptures. So we tend to think that the annotative style of Yishu of the Confucian classics in the northern and southern dynasties is the result of the natural development of Chinese annotation style. However,it is also influenced by the Buddhist scriptures in the aspects of the division of sections and the adoption of the question-and-answer style. In this paper,we use the method of synchronic description to analyze the existing materials of Yishuti of the Confucian classics and summary the annotation styles of the Yishuti in the Sui and Tang Dynasty. Then,We use the method of diachronic research to compare the annotation styles of Yishu between the Sui and Tang Dynasties and the North and South Dynasties. We find that the Yishuti of the Confucianis in the Sui and Tang Dynasties generally inherited the annotation styles of the Yishuti in the Northern and Southern Dynasties, but also developed some new forms of interpretation.Such as the section of all scripture, the preface and annotation, the explanation of order of chapters and sentences, the explanation of Nonsense case,Using the question-and-answer sentences to interpret the preface,Marking the source of the preface, etc. The formation of these new features was influenced not only by the annotations of Buddhist Sutras in the Six Dynasties, but also by the traditional Chinese annotations and pre-Qin Zishu.
