The study of Confucian classics of the Northern and Southern Dynasties is indispensable in the whole history of the study of Confucian classics in China, and it is also the bridge of Han and Tang dynasties. We cannot explain so many phenomena in Sui and Tang Dynasties rationally if we don't subtly understand the study of Confucian classics of the Northern and Southern Dynasties. We all know that the water in the rivers forms the oceans, so it is naturally that we won't forget the endure hardships in the pioneer work. But for different factors, the study of the history of the study of Confucian classics in this period is still weak until now. And this article aims at standing on the original records and through the ways of inspecting all the phenomena of the study of Confucian classics in this period in a macro view and subtly analyzing the existing and lost works of the study of Confucian classics in the hope of getting an objective evaluation of the features, contributions to the study of Confucian classics and the status in the history of the study of Confucian classics in this period.The development of the study of Confucian classics is a lasting process and there is intimate relationship of inheriting and developing between generations. The characteristic is especially distinctive in Sui Dynasty which was the transition of the study of Confucian classics of the Northern and Southern Dynasties and Tang Dynasty. So this article will extend the inspecting of the study of Confucian classics to Sui Dynasty in the purpose of more clearly revealing the relationship between the study of Confucian classics of the Northern and Southern Dynasties and Sui and Tang Dynasties.There are five parts in this article. The first part is to inspect the study of Confucian classics of the Northern and Southern Dynasties in a macro view. And it is divided into 9 special topics to probe into the developing orbit and historical status of the study of Confucian classics in this period by the method of analyzing the study of Confucian classics of the Northern and Southern Dynasties and many interrelated phenomenon to study of Confucian classics. The 9 special topics involves many aspects, such as the influence of migration of the expert of study of Confucian classics, the developing conditions and their features of the learning handed down from teachers or families, the regional characteristic of the study of Confucian classics broadcasting, the relationships between the study of Confucian classics and Dark Learning and Buddhist philosophy and other academics, the different phenomenon between different classics broadcasting and...
