The verb is an important part of every language, and the research of psychological verbs has attracted more and more attention. There is still a gap in the contrastive study of psychological verbs in China and Russia, here the author takes psychological verbs as a starting point between the two languages for semantic comparative study. The first chapter of this paper briefly describes the definition of psychological verbs and the theoretical research related to the semantic field. The second chapter studies the synonyms that composite the semantic field and determines the boundaries of lexical semantic fields in each language. In addition, the semantic comparison between psychological verbs of the two languages is carried out.In the third chapter,Chinese and Russian are analyzed according to the sentence patterns and semantic collocations. In the fourth chapter,a contrastive study is made on the idioms in Chinese and Russian languages, which contain psychological verbs;that is to say,the meaning of verbs in context is analyzed.Through a comprehensive and multi-angle comparative study, this paper not only reveals the similarities and differences in the semantic field distribution between the two languages, but also reveals the semantic characteristics and their essential differences between Chinese and Russian psychological verbs. It shows the specific context of their respective languages and how both languages express their national values and traditional cultural connotations in the linguistic context by using lexical expressions as their carriers. The contrastive study of Chinese and Russian psychological verbs can provide theoretical and practical enlightenment for similar subjects in this field.
