| Cognitive emotion regulation is an important issue in emotional psychology and its development have an impact on the mental health of children,however cognitive emotion regulation difficulties is the core symptom of children’s mental disorders or emotional disorders.By literature review,we forced on the development tendency,neural mechanism,interaction effect between genetic factors and social environmental factors of children’s cognitive emotion regulation to explore the promotion of children’s cognitive development of emotion regulation and provide effective basic theory.Study 1:Revised cognitive emotion regulation questionnaire for 8-12 years old children.Based on review about the previous studies on cognitive emotion regulation,we revised cognitive emotion regulation questionnaire for 8-12 years old children including nine subscales(Self-blame,Acceptance,Rumination,Positive reappraisal,Refocus on planning,Positive refocusing,Putting into perspective,Catastrophizing,and Other-blame).We investigated reliability and validity and preliminary application of an investigation of the relationship between children’s cognitive emotion regulation strategies and depressive emotion.Study 2:To investigate the developmental tendency of 8-12 years old children’s cognitive emotion regulation.This study investigated the age and gender difference tendency of each first-order and second-order dimensions of 8-12 years old children cognitive emotion regulation.We also reported the critical development period of 8-12 years old children’s cognitive emotion regulation.Study 3:Study about 8-12 years old children’s cognitive emotion regulation by using event related potential.Combining laboratory experiment research with event related potentials(ERPs),we explored the brain mechanism of 8-12 years old children’s cognitive emotion regulation by comparing the brain electrical components(LPP)in different age groups.In addition,we also explored whether the LPP amplitude has gender and age effect.Study 4:The influence of neuroticism,extroversion,and psychological abuse on 8-12 years old children’s cognitive emotion regulation.8-12 years old children’s cognitive emotion regulation was influenced by the interaction effect of genetic factors and social environmental factors,this study focuses on neuroticism,extroversion)and educational environmental factors(psychological abuse)to establish the temperamental characteristics’ mediator model between psychological abuse and cognitive emotion regulation to comprehensively reveal the children’s cognitive emotion regulation development impact mechanism.Based on the above analysis,this study generally discussed the development tendency,neural mechanism,the influence factors of 8-12 years old children’s cognitive emotion regulation.The main conclusions were drawn as follow:1.8-12 years old children’s cognitive emotion regulation has nine kinds of cognitive emotion regulation strategies:Self-blame,Acceptance,Rumination,Positive reappraisal,Refocus on planning,Positive refocusing,Putting into perspective,Catastrophizing,and Other-blame.2.The cognitive emotion regulation questionnaire for 8-12 years old children has good reliability and validity,and nine cognitive emotion regulation strategies have the measurement invariance across different gender and age groups.8-12 years old children’s cognitive emotion regulation questionnaire was a good measurement to assess 8 to 12 years old children’s cognitive emotion regulation strategies.3.Positive reappraisal,Refocus on planning,Positive refocusing could negatively predict 8-12 years old children’s depressive emotion,and Self-blame,Acceptance,Rumination,Catastrophizing,and Other-blame could positively predict 8-12 years old children’s depressive emotion.8-12 years old children’s cognitive emotion regulation strategy was frequency used with age increasing,9 to 11 years old is the rucial developmental period of children’s cognitive emotion regulation strategies.The boy’s frequency of use on Catastrophizing and Self-blame is significantly higher than girls.4.Positive reappraisal strategy can effectively adjust the positive emotions.LPP can be used as a 8-12 years old children’s brain electrical indicator of positive cognitive emotion regulation.Positive reappraisal strategy can significantly enhance LPP amplitude.8-12 years old children’s positive reappraisal regulation for positive emotion has gender and age effects.Boys showed greater LPP amplitude than girls.12 years old group of children to use positive reappraisal strategy can effectively regulate more positive emotions.5.Extroversion was positive correlation with adaptive emotion regulation strategies,Positive refocusing,Refocus on planning,Positive reappraisal,and negative correlation with nonadaptive emotion regulation strategies,Self-blame,Rumination,Catastrophizing,and Other-blame.Neuroticism was negative correlation with Positive refocusing,Refocus on planning,Positive reappraisal,Putting into perspective,and positive correlation with nonadaptive emotion regulation strategies,Self-blame,Acceptance,Other-blame.6.Psychological abuse was negative correlation with Refocus on planning,Positive reappraisal,and positive correlation with nonadaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies,Self-blame,Acceptance,Catastrophizing,and Other-blame.A full model with significant paths from psychological abuse to neuroticism to nonadaptive emotion regulation strategies. |
