Han Dynasty inscriptions are found on stone tablets, monuments, epitaph, portrait stone prefatory remarks, on cliffs, on huangchang stones, residential architecture and so on. However you do not find Han Dynasty art inscriptions without text. That is a rigorous and established academic concept. Han Dynasty inscriptions, are important material data in studying social customs, the ideology, the historical facts as well as cultural art, and have extremely high academic and artistic value. The study of Han Dynasty Inscriptions has been of great importance in traditional epigraphy research ever since epigraphy emerged in the Northern Song Dynasty, and it already has nearly a thousand years of academic tradition. So far nobody has carried out the synthesis inspection and research on Han Dynasty Inscriptions all over Shandong province.The main body of this article is divided into seven sections.First is the introduction, including related concept discrimination of the Han Dynasty Inscriptions of Shandong, object of the study in topic, research methods, selected topic goals, significance, the origin of the Inscriptions in China, the review of Han Dynasty Inscriptions and so on. Han Dynasty Inscriptions of Shandong are taken as the study objects of this article, including all the carved stone text unearthed or extant in Shandong during Han Dynasty. Then introduce the research technique as well as the goals of the selected topic and their significance. We carried out a thorough investigation and inventory of the Han Dynasty Inscriptions in Shandong by the field archaeology investigation method, and took photos, measured dimensions, matched the text for each stone as far as possible, and reorganized the more exhaustive contents of Han Dynasty Inscriptions in Shandong. Using the methods of historical documents, carried out the contrast between the inscription literature of all previous Dynasties, extracted out the problems in previous studies, and carried out further analysis, and then put forward our findings.This article will achieve innovative progress in the following aspects:Closely investigate the existing situation of inscription in Shandong, discriminate the results and problems, study the age and geographical distribution of Han Dynasty Inscriptions of Shandong and reasonably classify, and deeply excavate the social background of Han Dynasty Inscriptions, explore the characteristics of Han Dynasty Inscriptions in Shandong and the relationships with surrounding areas.The first chapter is the summary on Han Dynasty Inscriptions of Shandong. The first section is exhaustive and comprehensive survey on the basis of detailed data from three aspects of the age distribution,geographical distribution and shape classification. The second section are the statistics lists on Han Dynasty Inscriptions in Shandong. These lists include about existing,lost and false Han Dynasty Inscriptions in Shandong, for example there are 113 kinds Han Dynasty Inscriptions existing,54 are lost and 9 are false.The second chapter clarifies several questions right or wrong on Han Dynasty Inscriptions studied by previous reserches. In this part we tried to solve several problems:recording problem, character recognition problem, dating problem, true or false distinguishing problem and so on.The third chapter is about the arising social background of the Han Dynasty Inscriptions. The generation and rise of the Han Dynasty Inscriptions had close relationship with the particular social background and ideology. We synthesized the relationship between social consciousness types in Han Dynasty and Han Dynasty Inscriptions from filial piety and inscriptions, graveside text and inscriptions, divination and three aspects of inscriptions.The fourth chapter is academic value of Han Dynasty Inscriptions of Shandong. We carried on the elaboration from several aspects such as Han Dynasty Inscriptions and Han Dynasty history, Han Dynasty literature, Han Dynasty philology as well as Han Dynasty calligraphy art and so on.The fifth chapter is the relationship between Han Dynasty Inscriptions of Shandong and the surrounding areas. In order to correctly understand the position that Han Dynasty Inscriptions of Shandong took in the whole country, we discussed the distribution and district, and further explored the relationship between Han Dynasty Inscriptions and other surrounding distribution areas.Last part is a summary of the article-conclusion, pointing out the deficiency and improvement as well as the concepts for further research. In addition, in the appendix of this article we have listed detailed data about existing and lost Han Dynasty Inscriptions.Last is the impression of Corpus on Carved Stone in Han Dynasty.
