Objective: to verify the effaction of comprehensive intervention on relapsing psoriasis vulgaris under the“Theory of Preventive Treatment Of Disease”of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Methods: Clinical study is divided into two parts, the first: to pre-survey the patients of relapsing psoriasis: Summarying the triggers of recurrence or worsening of psoriasis , the condition, treatment, prevention an constitution of patients. The second:Process is divided into two phases, the first is to prevent the disease developing:86 patients of relapsing psoriasis vulgaris were divided into 2 groups, experimental group 44 patients and control group 42 patients, both employing the oral chinese herbs“Clearing Heat and Removing Damp Drinking”and topical ointment of long zhu,1-2 times/d.12 weeks. In addition to medcine, experimental group received cognitive-behavio-ur therapy and relaxation training at the same time.PASI score need to count at begnning,4th week,8th week,12th week, and measure blood serum level of VEGF,TNF-?and IL-10 and ratio of TNF-?between IL-10 at the begnning and end. The second stage , preventing relapse:27 patients which have finished the first stage prevention and treatments employed the oral chinese herbs“Yu Ping Ying Xing Fang”,3 weeks, and continued cognitive-behaviour therapy and relaxation training at the same time.Patients were Followed-up from 15 months to 2 years, counting the remission times of psoriasis vulgaris to verify the effaction of intervention by compaing of this time with last time and the longest remission times. Results: PASI score comparying between 2 groups in the first phase:It is no significant at begnning,4th week,8th week(P?0.05),this was changed at 12th week(P<0.05); Markedly effective rate: It is no statistically significant at 4th week(experi-mental group: 4.5% ,control group: 2.4%, P?0.05), There was a significant difference by 8th week (29.5% and 11.9% respectively, P<0.05),the difference was very significant by 12th week (70.4% and 42.9% respectively, P<0.01); Effective rate: It is no statistically significant at 4th week(70.5% and 59.5% respectively, P?0.05), There were difference both at 8th week(88.6% ,76.2%) and 12th(100%,95.2%)( P<0.05). The blood serum level of VEGF,TNF-?and IL-10:There was no significant difference between 2 groups before intervention (P?0.05), this changed after intervention( P<0.05) in VEGF and TNF-?,and changed obviously in IL-10(P<0.01),);Both blood serum level of 2 groups is decreased obviously after intervention(P<0.01);The Ratio of TNF-?/IL-10: There was no significant difference between 2 groups before intervention (P?0.05),and very significant difference was observed both at the end of intervention and each group between beginning and end of intervention(P<0.01). The second stage- preventing relapse:this remission times(average 7.1 months) is much longger than the later time(average 2.86 months) (P<0.01),but there was no significant difference with the longest((P?0.05).Conclusions: Under the guidance of“Theory of Preventive Treatment Of Disease”of TCM, relapsing psoriasis vulgaris Achieved significant improvements in relieving symptoms and extendeding remission by preventing the disease(comprehensive intervention) and preventing relapse(active defense),It's a satisfactory control.
