As China's economic and social development shifts from high-speed growth to high-quality growth,people's living standards continue to improve,and the main social contradictions have changed.The development and construction of urban living space has become one of the main driving forces leading urban construction and enhancing the happiness of urban residents.The urban public center system is the main spatial organization that carries the life activities of urban residents,and plays an important role in the development of urban public service space and consumption space.In recent years,with the development of urban research data and technology,the application of big data and machine learning algorithms provides strong quantitative support for urban spatial structure research.But at the same time,there are some problems of data technology application such as the adequacy of data representation,the adaptability of research methods,and the effectiveness of the representation relationship in the research of public center system.Therefore,taking Xiaoshan District of Hangzhou as the object,the research on the urban public center system at district scale is conducted.Based on the literature review of data technology selection and application,influence factors and mechanism,and layout optimization methods,combined with the characteristics of data application in planning research,three main issues explored in this research are summarized: how to observe and summarize the characteristics of the public center,what are the characteristics and influence factors of development types of the public center system,and how to correctly guide the layout optimization of the public center.Drawing lessons from the data-driven paradigm of weak hypothesis and strong representation,the research forms the research logic: the characterization data is guided by theoretical clues and then the characterization relationship is constructed to derive the characteristic laws,which are applied to the three main process of spatial cognition,spatial analysis and spatial optimization corresponding to the research problems.In order to achieve the research purpose of spatial cognition and optimization,explain the spatial characteristics and laws of the public center system,and improve its optimization methods and processes,the research content and conclusions mainly include three aspects:Firstly,in terms of identifying the public center system and recognize the spatial characteristics,starting from the perspective of supply and demand,aiming at the constituent elements of the public center system,the research builds a multi-source data identification framework combining mobile phone signaling,POI and research data,identifies the public center system of Xiaoshan and analyzes the basic spatial characteristics of the spatial layout,structural relations and functional associations of centers.The research puts forward laws of public center of path dependence and road affinity and the 4-level center system of"one main center,one secondary center,several sub-centers and multiple base centers".At the same time,it explains that the public service facilities mainly allocated by the government play an important leading role in the centers connection.Secondly,in terms of analyzing the development level and influence factors of the public center system,the research constructs an analysis framework at two levels of normalization and major events: At the normalization level,following the idea of sample expansion first and then contraction,the initial growing,growing,mature and sound four major clusters of the public center system are recognized according to the sample expansion of Zhejiang Province.The samples of mature and sound clusters similar to those in Xiaoshan are found.At the same time,there are significant typological differences in the six influence factors of topography,economic scale,population scale,urban construction,residents' consumption power,and public transportation.The change characteristic is the shift from the government-led investment-driven growth model in the early stage of development to the market-led consumption-led development model in the later stage.There is an interactive network mechanism among various influence factors,among which population size is the most direct and core influence factor of the degree of development.At the major events level,the public center system in Xiaoshan is deeply promoted by the positive driving force of G20 key projects,and will be further affected in the preparation and operation of the Asian Games.Thirdly,in terms of analyzing the public center system optimization,back to the research scope of Xiaoshan,according to the clues that the population and the public center system are strongly related,the research builds the spatial correlation model of "population-public center" from three aspects of population residence,employment and tourism and deduces the spatial basis of center optimization.Based on this,three target criteria are used: The first is the empirical target summarized though the supervised learning model of the public center development and satisfaction analysis.The second is the development target of efficiency and fairness under the humanistic value.The third is the principle of regularity summarized from the characteristics of the status quo of the public center.Finally,the optimization guidelines for the public center system of Xiaoshan are put forward at two levels of space and non-space.After the three levels of content,the establishment of a data-driven research framework for cognition and optimization of the public center system has been realized.Through empirical analysis,the characteristic experience and general laws with temporal and spatial backgrounds are summarized and the research on the urban spatial structure is enriched under new data environment.
