Research On The Spatial Development Of Characteristic Towns Based On The Theory Of Complex Adaptive System

In recent years,under the influence of national and local policies,the exploration of characteristic towns is in full swing and the development of characteristic towns has become an important link and part of overall urban-rural development.Their spatial development also presents diversified trends.However,there also occur many problems in some characteristic towns without sufficient argumentation such as: many towns looking alike,similar industrial types,loss of cultural heritage,serious damage to the ecological environment and so on.These problems are more or less related to the development of space carriers.In recent years,many experts and scholars at home and abroad regard the theory of complex adaptive system as the research basis of solving urban problems and have got some achievements,which provides new ideas and methods for the study of the development of characteristic towns.Based on the theory of complex adaptive system,it is an important task to study the spatial development of characteristic towns from multidimensional perspectives.On the basis of fully investigating and analyzing the existing problems of characteristic towns in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region and Yangtze River Delta,this paper takes the theory of complex adaptive system as the theoretical support of the research on the spatial development of characteristic towns,and does the researches by using the comprehensive methods of field investigation,systematic analysis,spatial analysis and so on and with the technical route " investigation of existing situation---theoretical research---system construction---empirical analysis".The paper is divided into five parts: the first part is the basic research and through the domestic and foreign research summary,the related researches on the space development of characteristic towns are summarized.Through horizontal comparison and longitudinal analysis,this paper studies the development and difference of characteristic towns between OECD countries and China,analyzes the problems existing in the spatial development of characteristic towns in China,and introduces a new research perspective of complex adaptive system.The second part is the system construction,which studies the theoretical connotation,complexity characteristics and complexity evolution of complex adaptive system.Through the comparative analysis of the first and second groups of characteristic towns in China,combined with the actual projects,this paper abstracts and summarizes the main subsystems that affect the spatial development of characteristic towns,including industrial development,cultural heritage and ecological environment,and constructs the spatial development system structure of characteristic towns based on the theory of complex adaptation system,and guides the follow-up research as a whole.In the third part,according to spatial development of characteristic towns constructed in the above chapters,the spatial development system of industrial agglomeration,the spatial development system of cultural diversity and the spatial development system of ecological non-linearity are studied respectively;the influencing elements of each system are analyzed,the interaction and coordination mechanism among spatial development and industrial development,cultural heritage and ecological environment subsystems are explored.Based on this,the spatial development system of industrial agglomeration,cultural diversit y and ecological non-linearity is constructed,and typical cases are selected for empirical study.In the fourth part,taking the characteristic town of Dingshu Town as an example,from the perspective of complex adaptive system,based on the spatial development system of industrial agglomeration,cultural diversity and ecological non-linearity,the spatial development implementation strategy of the fused "generation theory" and "composition theory" of characteristic towns is studied.The fifth part is the conclusion and prospect.Based on the theory of complex adaptation system,this paper puts forward the judgment basis of the spatial development system constructed above,summarizes the conclusion of the thesis and prospects the research.Based on the research of complex adaptive system theory,this paper constructs the theoretical framework of spatial development of characteristic towns,puts forward the function and coordination mechanism among industrial development,cultural heritage,ecological environment and spatial development system,and constructs the spatial development system of industrial agglomeration,cultural diversity and ecological non-linearity,which provides the theoretical support of systematic perspective for the spatial development of characteristic towns.It enriches the related theoretical research of the space development of characteristic towns,and also provides guidance for the practice of the space development of characteristic towns.
