With the practical requirements as the starting point and the theoretical research as the supporting point,the topic of the thesis is from the school-enterprise cooperation project,which conducted the systematic research of the related research issues of the vehicle-mounted information system at interface level oriented for complex interaction scenarios.Currently,the information technology and digital technology are widely applied in the field of human-computer interaction in vehicles.The vehicle-mounted information system has gradually transferred from the traditional physical and decentralized display control modes to the modern complex interactive modes integrated with somatosensory and integrated display and control.In this paper,it defines and summarizes the research concept of the vehicle-mounted information system at the interface level from the macroscopic and microscopic perspectives.It is the hard interface hierarchical relationship oriented at vehicle physical space environment,i.e.,the behavioral hierarchy,and the soft interface hierarchical relationship oriented at the digital space environment,i.e.,the visual hierarchy,as well as the comprehensive mechanism such as drive,feedback and interaction,etc.between two dimensions of the user vision and action.As the primary information perception and cognitive element transmitted to the driver,the advantages and disadvantages of interface level of the vehicle-mounted system have a greater impact on driving safety.In this paper,it builds a matching coordination relationship between the vehiclemounted interface level and the perceptions and cognitions of car users.Under the premise of ensuring driving safety,the other driving experience and information requirements shall be met through the compliant,reasonable and rationale interactive mode at interface level.The digitalization of human-computer interaction in vehicles is a trend in the information era.Along with the transformation from driving functions of automobiles to multi-dimensional driving experience,the safety of human has been constantly challenged by many complex interactive scenarios such as the physical information environment of vehicles,digital information environment within the vehicle,comprehensive information environment outside the vehicle,the comprehensive factors of users,etc.Compared with other human-machine interface features,its complexity are mainly reflected in the following four points.First,the complexity of the display control environment.Based on the gradual disappearance of physical components such as buttons,knobs,and switches in the current vehicle-mounted system,and the increasing popularity of virtual controls such as text,icons,and shapes,the display and control complex environments with digital,physical,and cross-use of digital and physical applications are shown within the vehicle in a comprehensive manner,which raises higher requirements for users to obtain the information cognition,comprehension,perception,and implementation;second,the complexity of user behaviors.The driving behavior is the machine-body behavior mode with the comprehensive combination of eyes,ears,hands,feet and body.The digitalized display control mode breaks through the space limitations of the previous physical components and the limitations of user behavior patterns,and presents the cognition and perception interactions which are freer and more open in the higher space and time dimensions.It objectively liberates users from exploring and pursuing information in the vehicle environment.If the hierarchical relationship of logic is not built based on content,it will pose additional cognitive burdens and driving distractions to users,and ultimately affect driving safety;third,the complexity of the display control channels.The automobile control system provides rich information input and output media such as disk control,touch control,gestures,somatosensory,head-up display,mid-control display,and instrument panel display,and increasingly presents the multi-channel,deep-level and rich interactive structural logic,which comprehensively mobilize the physical functions of the user such as vision,hearing,and action,etc.,so as to increase the complexity and uncertainty of user behaviors.Fourth,the complexity of the system itself,the current vehicle-mounted information system comprehensively integrates a large number of digital content,including information such as menus,layout,structure,hierarchy,color,and navigation,etc.The information is interlaced and interspersed,and the structure is intricate and complex,and functions and experiences are rich and varied,the absence of constructing a reasonable and smooth information channel would increase the risk factor of driving behaviors.With the increasingly complex information environment in the vehicle,the visual hierarchical relationship design at the single soft interface level has been unable to meet the driving safety requirements,and the hierarchical relationship for the execution of the hard interface level from the user has also become equally important.Currently,the design research of interface level for the vehicle-mounted system,especially the research based on the perspective of hard and soft interfaces lacks relatively more systematic discussion.From the aspect of human-computer interaction in vehicles,the goal of pursuit by the current users is to create the user experience and information requirements under the premise of safe driving.From the perspective of information transmission,the hierarchical relationship at software and hardware interfaces is equivalent to a composite information container where the important information related to the user's driving is gathered right here.Internally,the hierarchies turn the various independent "functional islands" of the vehicle-mounted information systems to the "information flow" in line with the user's cognition through information decoding and information processing;externally,the hierarchies make the "information flow" of vehicle-mounted information systems form the "operation flow" in line with user perception through the good formal characteristics.The essence of the process is to build a bridge connecting the vehicle-mounted features,information presentation and user operation.In the theoretical research level,the importance of the design problem of vehiclemounted information system interface level is based under the current complex interaction scenario,and this research combines the related theories of discipline such as design science,cognitive science,psychology,computer science,human ergonomics,etc.,thus presenting the characteristics of interdisciplinary theoretical research of multiple disciplines.At the level of the method research,according to the attributes of the visual content of the interface level and the phased characteristics of the attributes of interactive tasks,the research ideas and methods such as literature research,case analysis,experimental analysis,and user survey,etc.were adopted.At the practical evaluation research level,the relatively complete qualitative and quantitative analysis and evaluation of the operation level and visual level were conducted through the research and testing equipment,integrated assessment of environment and system provided by Beijing Benz Research and Development Center and the Haier Joint Laboratory of the School of Design and Art of Beijing Institute of Technology.The research results are mainly reflected in the following aspects:First of all,in this paper,the systematic research of the definition,scope and mechanism of the interface level of the vehicle-mounted information system is conducted from the macroscopic and microscopic perspectives.The theoretical solution process from individual to entirety,from single dimension to multiple dimensions and from perceptual to rational direction is built based on the internal cause of vehicle experience under the driving safety from the soft and hard interface level,the users' vision,and the action dimension.The clearer information channel is constructed based on the hierarchy of the hard and soft interfaces,the behavioral decision-making design and research results are of certain significance of innovation and research for the related research of the interactive design subdivision of human-computer interaction in vehicles from the macro information architecture,hierarchical classification to the microscopic visual design and design of behavior decision making.Secondly,in this paper,a comprehensive vehicle-mounted interface hierarchical system model is built based on the macro-level basis of the soft and hard level of the vehicle environment,and the user interface hierarchy demand model is constructed based on the operating mechanism for users' complex vehicle-mounted information systems.The innovative methods of interface level and interaction design are studied and the design process is evaluated and tested,and by conducting the relevant analysis of the design objects,evaluation objects,evaluation methods,and design tasks,the theoretical system of soft and hard interface integration design based on the vision and action dimensions of vehicle users.In addition,the design evaluation is put forward from the two dimensions of subjective evaluation and objective evaluation.Through the integration of the field knowledge separated from each other at the soft and hard interface level,the design assistance can be provided for the design body,and the design efficiency can be optimized.The outer edge derived from design knowledge is the tool layer reflecting methods,approaches and means.Therefore,it is of innovative significance at the level of design methodology.Thirdly,research of five interactive design levels for automotive information interaction users,namely,strategic level,scope level,structure level,framework level and presentation level;the matching and coordination relationship between interface level and perception and cognition of vehicle user is discussed.The matching relationship and correspondence between the hard interface level and the soft interface level based on hierarchy are proposed,which are inseparable.The concept of cross dimension and multi-dimensional hierarchical input integrating the quick access are put forward based on the input and output channels of vehicle information,and the visual information architecture from narrow to deep.Hence,this is of certain significance of practical reference value on the cognitive and behavioral patterns of users in the increasingly complicated field of human-machine in the vehicles.Fourthly,four principles of interactive design of vehicle-mounted information systems based on interface level are proposed from the perspective of the interaction evaluation standards of user-interface level,namely reducing switching costs,reducing selection time,increasing operating efficiency,improving page identification,and the qualitative and quantitative analysis are conducted by combining actual operation prototypes and the actual vehicles,so as to verify the effectiveness and universal significance of the principle.
