Empirical Analysis And Strategic Research On The Improvement Of Older Adults' Quality Of Life In The Old Residential Areas

In the 1980s and 1990s,in order to alleviate the housing problems brought about by the explosive population growth,a large number of adaptive housing was built in China.With the passage of time,these houses have many problems,has been unable to meet the needs of residents,especially the older residents,due to the continued decline of physical function,the old building environment in the settlements for the older adults'life brought many obstacles,the older adults' quality of life need to be improved.This study focuses on the improvement of the older adults' quality of life in existing settlements in China under the background of aging,analyzes the environmental factors affecting the older adults' quality of life in existing settlements,and puts forward the strategy of optimizing the ageability of existing settlements,with a view to providing theoretical basis and practical guidance for improving the older adults'quality of life in existing settlements.The thesis is carried out through four steps:theoretical construction,current situation analysis,theory combined with practical research and strategy.First of all,in the first and second chapters of the thesis,through the review of existing research and theoretical analysis,the theoretical model of this study is constructed,and the impact of the settlement environment on the older adults'quality of life is defined:social,nutritional access,personal hygiene and security.Secondly,in chapters three and four,the paper analyzes the impact of the physical and social environment of the living conditions on the older adults' quality of life:in the third chapter,the physical environment data in existing settlements are collected by means of field research,mapping and observation,and the impact of physical environment and the older adults'quality of life is analyzed;Thirdly,in the fifth chapter of this paper,the application of theoretical models for quality improvement research,based on the data of the above research,to community old-age facilities to improve the older adults' quality of life as the starting point:through interview data for the older adults in the housing quality of life qualitative analysis,EVOLVE tools for the older adults' housing in the interview quantitative analysis,and combined with the physical and social environment in the community status quo,analysis in this research theory,The feasibility and contradiction of using the existing resources of settlements to solve the problems of the older adults' lives.Finally,in chapter 6 of the thesis,from the theoretical and practical aspects of improving the older adults'quality of life in existing settlements put forward the principles and strategies of transformation,that is,the existing housing age-appropriate transformation of the overall principle and public space transformation strategy,the older adult facilities construction optimization strategy and planning strategy.According to the research,the older adults' quality of life is a comprehensive index,and the decline of quality of life is the result of the interaction of many social and physical factors in settlements.In solving the problem of the older adults' quality of life in settlements,we should adopt a diversified ecological view to analyze the problems and consider the impact of physical and social environment.And from the overall settlement,in order to enhance the environment outside the settlement indirectly solve the current housing problems.This paper introduces ecological psychology into the study of the living environment of the older adults,establishes a model of the impact of the existing settlement environment on the older adults' quality of life,and summarizes the interactive,hierarchical and dynamic characteristics of the settlement ecosystem.This paper re-examines the problems of improving the older adults' quality of life in existing settlements,and puts forward the feasible theoretical principles and transformation methods to improve the older adults' quality of life in existing settlements,with a view to providing the corresponding theoretical basis and practical basis for the aging transformation of existing settlements.
