Farmers' Geographical Indication Policy Trust And Its Impact On Green Production

Green production is the result of productivity development.Accelerating the promotion of green production is not only a scientific means to effectively prevent agricultural non-point source pollution,deal with resource tightening and environmental bearing pressure,but also a feasible path to realize the coordinated revitalization of rural economy and ecology.However,although the government pays a lot of human and material resources,the micro basis of the popularization of green production and the effect of farmers' green production are still not ideal,which is mainly reflected in the exclusion or indifference of farmers to green production,the low proportion of farmers implementing green production and the small scale of green production.Compared with the previous integrated agricultural development regulations formulated,promulgated and implemented uniformly,in recent years,geographical indications for specific regions,specific industries and specific types of agricultural products have been paid more and more attention.This is mainly because the geographical indications of agricultural products are consistent with the local natural and cultural environment,which can combine the regional brand construction with the regional regulation of agricultural product quality and origin environment,and guide farmers in the region to produce according to unified procedures and standards.However,it should be emphasized that the territorial government's geographical indication policy is essentially an external mechanism,and its process from macro to micro,from psychology to behavior needs trust transformation in order to exert an impact on Farmers' green production.This leads to two key issues: first,what factors affect farmers' trust in geographical indication policy;Second,how does geographical indication policy trust affect farmers' green production.Based on the existing literature,this article first clearly defines the connotation and extension of geographical indication policy trust,farmers' green production,etc.,and sorts out farmers' behavior theory,agricultural technology diffusion theory,information asymmetry theory,government trust formation theory,trust-cooperation theory and other related theories;and then expounds farmers' geographical indication policy trust and its mechanism on green production.Secondly,this papers constructs the index measurement system of each dimension of geographical indication policy trust,and designs the characterization variables of farmers' green production.Thirdly,based on the 953 survey data of farmers in geographical indication tea areas of Shaanxi,Sichuan and Anhui provinces from July to August 2020,this paper constructs ordered probit model,truncated model,intermediary effect model and regulation effect model,empirically analyzes the influencing factors of farmers' geographical indication policy trust,and studies the nonlinear effect of geographical indication policy trust on farmers' green production response and green production scale.Finally,it puts forward corresponding policy suggestions in order to provide theoretical and empirical basis for the institutional innovation of geographical indication development and agricultural green transformation.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows.(1)There are similarities and differences in the influencing factors of farmers' geographical indication policy trust in different dimensions,and social interaction can indirectly affect farmers' geographical indication policy trust through geographical indication policy institutional performance.Government staff interaction,fairness,acceptability,life satisfaction,government attitude,government obedience and general trust have significant and positive effects on farmers' fair trust,goodwill trust and ability trust;family friend interaction,business scale has significant and negative effects on farmers' fair trust,goodwill trust and ability trust.Village cadre interaction has a significant and positive impact on farmers' ability trust and goodwill trust;family economic status has a significant and negative impact on farmers' ability trust and goodwill trust;internet interaction has a significant and negative impact on farmers' fair trust and ability trust;the number of farmers and enthusiasm for public affairs have a significant and negative impact on farmers' fair trust and goodwill trust.Executive power only has a significant positive impact on farmers' ability trust.Further intermediary effect analysis found that village cadre interaction can indirectly enhance farmers' fair trust,ability trust and goodwill trust by shaping the executive power and satisfaction in institutional performance.Government personnel interaction can indirectly enhance farmers' fair trust,ability trust and goodwill trust by shaping fairness,acceptability,execution and satisfaction in institutional performance.(2)Geographical indication policy trust has a nonlinear effect on farmers' green production sequence,and is regulated by multiple variables.The total effect of fair trust on farmers' green production sequence shows a significant U-shaped relationship,that is,fair trust needs to reach a certain level to exert positive incentives on farmers' green production sequence.The total effect of capacity trust on farmers' green production sequence shows a significant inverted U-shaped relationship,that is,with the improvement of capacity trust level,farmers' green production sequence first increases and then decreases.The effect of goodwill trust and its square term on farmers' green production sequence failed to pass the significance test.Further regulatory effect analysis found that when the family technology status is higher,the negative impact of fair trust on farmers' green production sequence is weaker,and the trend of U-shaped relationship is more gentle;When the family economic status is higher,the negative impact of fair trust on farmers' green production sequence is stronger,and the trend of U-shaped relationship is also steep.When the operation scale is larger,the negative impact of fair trust on farmers' green production sequence is stronger,and the trend of U-shaped relationship is also steeper,and the trend of inverted U-shaped relationship between ability trust and farmers' green production sequence is also steeper.When the proportion of tea income is higher,the negative impact of justice and trust on farmers' green production sequence is smaller,and the trend of U-shaped relationship is more gentle.(3)Geographical indication policy trust has a nonlinear effect on farmers' green production scale and is regulated by multiple variables.In terms of biopesticide application scale,the total effect of justice trust on farmers' biopesticide application scale shows a significant u-shaped relationship,that is,only when justice trust reaches a certain level can it exert positive incentives on farmers' biopesticide application scale;The total effect of goodwill trust on farmers' biopesticide application scale showed a significant inverted u-shaped relationship,that is,with the increase of goodwill trust level,farmers' biopesticide application scale first increased and then decreased.Capacity trust and its square term have no significant effect on the scale of biopesticide application.Further regulatory effect analysis shows that when the family's technical status is higher,the negative impact of fair trust on farmers' biopesticide application scale is weaker and the trend of u-shaped relationship is more gentle,the positive impact of goodwill trust on farmers' biopesticide application scale is weaker and the trend of inverted u-shaped relationship is more gentle.When the family economic status is higher,the positive impact of ability trust on the scale of biopesticide application is weaker,and the trend of inverted U-shaped relationship is more gentle,the positive impact of goodwill trust on the scale of biopesticide application is stronger,and the trend of inverted U-shaped relationship is more steep.In terms of physical prevention and control scale,the total effect of justice trust on farmers' physical prevention and control scale shows a significant u-shaped relationship,that is,justice trust needs to reach a certain level to exert positive incentives on farmers' physical prevention and control scale.The total effect of goodwill trust on farmers' physical control scale shows a significant inverted U-shaped relationship,that is,with the improvement of goodwill trust level,farmers' physical control scale first increases and then decreases.Capacity trust and its square term have no significant impact on the scale of farmers' physical prevention and control.Further regulatory effect analysis shows that when the family technology status is higher,the negative impact of fair trust on farmers' physical control scale is stronger and the trend of U-shaped relationship is steeper,the positive impact of goodwill trust on farmers' physical control scale is stronger and the trend of inverted U-shaped relationship is steeper.When the operation scale is larger,the negative impact of justice and trust on the scale of farmers' physical prevention and control is stronger,and the trend of U-shaped relationship is also steeper.When the proportion of tea income is higher,the negative impact of fair trust on Farmers' physical control scale is weaker,and the trend of U-shaped relationship is more flat.When the proportion of tea income is higher,the positive impact of goodwill trust on farmers' physical control scale is weaker,and the trend of inverted u-shaped relationship is more gentle.In terms of organic fertilizer application scale,the total effect of justice trust on farmers' organic fertilizer application scale shows a significant U-shaped relationship,that is,justice trust needs to reach a certain level to exert positive incentives on farmers' organic fertilizer application scale.The total effect of ability trust on Farmers' organic fertilizer application scale showed a significant inverted U-shaped relationship,that is,with the increase of ability trust level,farmers' organic fertilizer application scale first increased and then decreased.The total effect of goodwill trust on farmers' organic fertilizer application scale showed a significant inverted U-shaped relationship,that is,with the improvement of goodwill trust level,farmers' organic fertilizer application scale first increased and then decreased.The results of further adjustment effect analysis showed that when the family economic status was higher,the influence of ability trust on the scale of organic fertilizer application was stronger,and the trend of inverted U-shaped relationship was also steeper.When the operation scale is larger,the positive impact of goodwill trust on the scale of organic fertilizer application is weaker,and the trend of inverted U-shaped relationship is also relatively flat.When the proportion of tea income is higher,the U-shaped relationship between justice and trust and the scale of organic fertilizer application by farmers is also steeper.In terms of waste return scale,the total effect of ability trust on farmers' waste return scale shows a significant inverted u-shaped relationship,that is,with the improvement of ability trust level,farmers' waste return scale first increases and then decreases.Goodwill trust and its square term,fair trust and its square term have no significant impact on the scale of farmers' waste land return.The results of further regulatory effect analysis show that the village family technical status,family economic status,operation and scale,and the proportion of tea industry income can not play an effective regulatory role between the dimensions of geographical indication policy trust and the scale of farmers' waste returning to the field.
