Assessment Of Human Settlements Quality Of Livable Community For The Elderly

Community is one of the main Spaces for the daily life of the elderly people.Under the background of aging,how communities adapt to the change of population structure and create a suitable living environment for the elderly is a major issue that needs to be considered both theoretically and practically.The construction of the living environment in the livable community for the elderly,which is good for the change of pension mode and the improvement of the life quality for the elderly people.Based on the relevant research of scholars at home and abroad,this paper makes an understanding of the connotation and characteristics of the concept of livable community for the elderly people.In view of the livable needs of the elderly people,relevant literature and objective analysis,this paper constructs an evaluation index system for the human settlements of the elderly livable community suitable for the local environment.Referring to Academician Wu Liangyong's ‘Five systems theory',the evaluation index system is divided into five first level indexes: social system,facility system,natural system,residential system and human system.In order to reflect the intergenerational equity of community space,a secondary index system was constructed from two dimensions,namely,the special index and the public index.The special index mainly reflected the livability requirements of the elderly group.The public index reflect the need for elderly people to be part of the community and consistent with other age groups.Based on multi-source data such as sample survey,spatial points of interest,DEM topographic data,population data,China environmental monitoring data,remote sensing images,etc.,the entropy method is used to weight the evaluation index of human settlements quality in the elderly livable community,and then,the comprehensive index evaluation method was used to evaluate and analyze the quality and differentiation of human settlements in 182 livable communities for the elderly in Liaoning Province.The results show that:(1)On the whole,the environmental quality of the community livable for the elderly is poor,and the vast majority of the community has not been fully prepared for the coming of the aging society;From the perspective of city comparison,the overall quality of livable environment for the elderly in the communities of Dalian is the highest.(2)In terms of spatial distribution characteristics: from the perspective of community scale,the communities with higher evaluation value are mostly distributed in the urban center or marginal urban area.It can be seen that the communities with lower evaluation value are usually distributed in the urban fringe,the towns/towns outside the urban area,and the areas near or far from the towns and villages.In terms of the scale of the city,the disparity of the human settlements quality of the elderly livable community is obvious,and the distribution pattern of "protruding from the middle to the south,sinking from the northwest to the north" is presented on the whole.For the communities with higher evaluation value,this is mainly distributed in Dalian and Shenyang.The subsystem research shows that: the overall quality of the facility system and the social system is poor,the overall quality of the natural system is good,among which the overall quality of the human system and the living system is high.Among the five systems,the lower average indicators are the number of community day care institutions,the number of community service centers(stations),the barrier-free facilities construction index,the number of universities for the elderly,the number of associations for the elderly,the number of comfortable days,the air quality,and the household registration of the centenarian population.For these communities,their environmental construction needs to be strengthened.(4)The comparison between public indicators and special indicators shows that the evaluation value of public indicators is significantly higher than that of special indicators;The number of communities above the middle level was compared,among which the public index was 2.69 times that of the special index.There was intergenerational inequality in the construction of community living environment.Focus on the urban scale and community scale,by using multiple linear regression analysis,geographic detector,geographically weighted regression model,big data mining and other methods,this paper explores the mechanism of differentiation of human settlements quality in elderly livable community.The results show that urban scale and economic development level are the external core driving forces of the differentiation of the human settlements quality of the elderly livable communities in Liaoning Province.social group status is the fundamental driving force,and the government intervention and housing construction are the important driving forces.According to the evaluation results and systematic analysis,this paper puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions for the optimization of human settlements in the elderly livable community are put forward from two aspects: macroscopic path based on city scale and concrete countermeasures based on community scale.It also provides ideas for the community to adapt to the change of population structure and provide a suitable supportive environment for the home-based care.
