Cultural Criticism Of The Tobacco Industry Technology

For a long time,the negative effects and negative externalities of the tobacco industry have become an important source for threatening the survival of human beings,which has increased the social and economic burden and has been widely criticized by our society.The trend of a comprehensive ban on smoking and tobacco control in the world has always been in contradiction with the economic interests of the tobacco industry.The multiple factors of science,technology,politics,economy and society are intertwined with those of tobacco industry at the medium level.It reflects the interaction between man and nature,man and culture-society,man and industry,which has become the target for the philosophy of technology through reflecting on social issues.First of all.based on defining the concept of tobacco industry and tobacco industry systematically,this thesis theoretically and practically gives an account of the tobacco industry technology at the medium level from the perspective of sociology of technology,directed against the technological negative effects and social hazards of tobacco industry technology.It defines the technological relationship with the tobacco industry technology,technological systems,and inherent technological externalities,stubborn technological utilitarianism,the technological innovation under the prohibition and control of tobacco industry,technological monopoly characteristics brought by local knowledge,revealing the multicultural form of tobacco industry technology.Secondly,based on the perspective of sociology of technology,this thesis reveals the symbiosis and interaction of tobacco industry technology in social culture,giving the comprehensive criticism of the tobacco industry technology.On the one hand,based on the cultural forms,this thesis takes the synchronic embedding of technical and cultural tobacco industry as a clue,and makes an all-round critique from the aspects of desire embedding,cognitive embedding,psychological embedding,symbolic cultural embedding,institutional and ethical embedding.It gives an account of the socio-cultural roots of the existence of tobacco industry technology.On the other hand,based on the technological process,cultural criticism has been fosuced on the tobacco raw material planting technology,tobacco producing and processing technology,tobacco sales and service technology in the tobacco industry technology system with clues to the synchronic cultural logic of the evolution of tobacco industry.Last but not least,according to the periodicity and regularity of technological evolution,the thesis puts forward the point that the flow of tobacco knowledge of the internal and external environment will be optimized;the social responsibility and interaction with the public will be enhanced;the sales and use will be limited to specific population;the solution approaches to cultural negative effects in terms of cultural transformation of the collection and appreciation function of tobacco standard will be explored;the approaches of transformation related to raw material planting technology characterized by reducing tar content and harm will be explored;the approaches of transformation related to tobacco production technology focusing on harmless tobacco technology will be explored;the approaches of transformation related to tobacco sales service centering on "social responsibility" will be explored.For the sake of the transformation of the tobacco industry,it is lastly to find out social and cultural approaches and industrial approaches to achieving a comprehensive ban on smoking.
