Through the research on the engineering geological conditions of deep rock tunnel, the mechanical properties and rock compositions in Tangkou coal mine, the damage characteristics of deep rock tunnel are analyzed and the main destruction reasons are concluded. Also the failure processes are reappeared by numerical analysis and the main relative factors are proposed. Besides, the mechanical properties of typical traditional bolt are summarized and the defects of traditional bolts solving the large deformation problem of slow and fast are deeply discussed. By conducting numerous site investigations and laboratory tests, the interaction between constant resistance large deformation bolt and the roadway surrounding rock are investigated in detail. Through a series of statics tensile tests and dynamic impact tests, the various parameters of constant resistance large deformation bolt beyond traditional bolts are validated. The surrounding rock stability control technology and supporting measures of the constant resistance large deformation based on the new bolt are obtained. The research results are applied to deep rock roadway supporting practice in Tangkou coal mine. The coupling support technology of constant-resistance large deformation bolt(cable)+steel mesh+sprayed concrete+corner bolt pipe is proved to be reasonable in the 50m test section of western rail tunnel and the in-situ measurement data shows that the resonableness and reliability of supporting design. In addition, the new constant resistance large deformation bolt is effective to control the large deformation of deep rock tunnel.
