Abstract/Summary:
The study investigated the relationship between a followers personality scores using the BIF Personality scores, and how they view the leadership style of their next level supervisor using the MLQ 5 X 2nd order scores, to see if there was any effect on how satisfied the follower was with their job by using the abridged version of the Job Descriptive Index/Job in General scales. A total of 91 respondents came from all areas of a local utility company located in San Antonio, Texas. The purpose of this study was to see if a followers' personality affects their perception of their leaders' leadership style, and if their perception of their leaders' leadership style affects an employee's level of job satisfaction. The dependent variables were satisfaction with coworkers, job in general, work itself, pay itself, promotions, and supervision. This study wanted to see if job satisfaction is affected by a followers' personality and the follower's perception of leadership style of the next level supervisor.
