This study is about the human capital challenges faced by Nigeria, an oil-rich developing world economy that is dealing with a lack of capacity as a consequence of the brain drain of its professionals to the West. Using the research strand of narrative inquiry, the researcher traveled to Nigeria to interview and survey returned professionals who have assimilated back into Nigerian society. The information and data gathered from the experiences of these returned professionals will assist in implementing policies to incentivize those professionals in the Diaspora to return home and also to prevent locally trained professionals from emigrating in large numbers. |
