This quantitative, correlational research study evaluated the effect of servant leadership on the antecedents of employee engagement, the meaning of work, and meaning in life. The research determined if servant leadership could influence employee engagement, the meaning of work, and meaning in life. To identify whether servant leadership correlated with increased employee engagement, the researcher utilized a moderation model to assess the variable of emotional healing. The researcher sought to discover if emotional healing moderated the relationship between servant leadership and employee engagement. The study validated the effectiveness of the servant leadership style by evaluating 112 self-reported assessments of front-line workers within servant-led organizations to identify if servant leaders utilizing a socio-emotional servant leadership style could increase employee engagement, the meaning of work, and meaning in life based on self-reports of their subordinates. The study illuminated how servant leadership could act as an effective means of eradicating employee disengagement in for-profit organizations. Servant Leadership influenced the outcomes of employee engagement, meaning of work, and meaning in life.
