Abstract/Summary:
This survey research investigated the question, "How and to what degree does graduation by exhibition prepare students for transition into post-secondary education?" The research was specifically designed to evaluate the effectiveness of the graduation exhibitions of The Crefeld School. The Crefeld School is a small, independent private school in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that serves grades seven through twelve. The data was analyzed from two cohorts of graduated students both before and after their graduation, including the surveys and interviews that were conducted with these students. This provided a comprehensive evaluation of pre- and post-graduation data. The research produced results that supported the graduation by exhibition methodology utilized by The Crefeld School and it was concluded that all ten competencies addressed within the exhibitions are preparing students for post-secondary education.
