Abstract/Summary:
One of the challenges to achieve highly reliable and fast communication system is created by the problems caused in the multipath fading wireless channels. Multipath fading channels constitute the main obstacle that is Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI).;After a theoretical background for wireless channel modeling and adaptive signal processing this work covers three new and different ideas in adaptive channel equalization in order to minimize the effect of the ISI. We have demonstrated the application of a new and specially modified neural network requiring very short training period for the proper channel equalization in supervised mode.;Two distinctive methodologies are applied to channel equalization in blind mode. The "select absolutely larger equalized signal" and "majority vote" methods have been used in 2- and 3-algoirithm cooperative systems. Second blind mode solution involves the application of general concept of simulated annealing. It should be clear that a limited strategy of constant annealing noise in an adaptive processing is experimented in this work that has basic differences from commonly known simulated annealing.
