This study measured user technology acceptance in terms of usefulness and ease of use as a means to explain the relative popularity among the Web sites developed by major broadcast and cable TV news networks. Previous Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) studies have suggested that perceived usefulness and ease of use of a technology determine its intended usage. This study measured TAM properties as they applied to TV network Web-based news sites. The findings suggested a positive correlation between Web site usage and perceived usefulness and ease of use. Results also revealed that perceived usefulness was the factor that more likely predicted the user's acceptance and intended usage of news Web sites.
