| Human information acceptance is a fundamental phenomenon in human society. Historically, although using different names, there were many disciplines which had concerned about this issue in different aspects, such as literature acceptance, news acceptance, and science acceptance, in which the theory of receptive aesthetics was very famous. However, these studies had been generally confined to their respective disciplines.This paper takes"human behavior"as the subject, uses interdisciplinary theories including psychology, communication, sociology and so on, focuses on the motivation, process and influencing factors of human information acceptance behavior, and indicates the holistic concept of human information acceptance.First of all, the author surveys the research situation home and abroad, compares the concepts related and proposes a definition of"human information acceptance behavior".Secondly, the paper discusses three basic questions about human information acceptance behavior: motivation, process and factors. Part 1 analyzes the need, possibility, internal cause and external cause of the acceptance behavior. Part 2 describes the process of news acceptance, science acceptance, and literature acceptance, then points out that human information acceptance activity is an interactional process between the schemas of human and information from the perspective of information study. Part 3 explains the factors which influence human information acceptance behavior from the aspects of both human and external environment briefly and discusses the interrelationship between the mass media and audiences.Finally, the author sums up the holistic concept of human information acceptance behavior, and prospects the research trends. |
