Abstract/Summary:
The changing function of human resource professionals was investigated to identify some of the changes, challenges, and struggles endured by the subjects involved. The history of the human resource profession has been chronicled over the past 50 years. The literature review revealed the human resource profession was primarily administrative and the new role strategic partner. Findings revealed the new role is embraced and organizations are experiencing a positive impact of the change.
