With the intensification of competition in the global market,it is an important means for manufacturers to improve the level of after-sale service and product competitiveness by providing customized warranty strategies for customers according to their heterogeneous usage rates.In the current research,utility fairness of customers has not been considered.More importantly,preventive maintenance strategy and warranty period design haven't been studied jointly,meanwhile basic warranty design and extended warranty design haven't been studied jointly neither,which made it difficult to meet the demands of manufacturers and customers.Therefore,this thesis researches the customized design of preventive maintenance and warranty period for products sold with two-dimensional warranty.The main results are listed as follows.Firstly,the current research on customized design of preventive maintenance haven't taken utility fairness of customers into consideration,leading to enormously different strategies between customer groups and consumer moral hazard to happen easily.To solve this problem,a stair-case preventive maintenance strategy considering utility fairness of customers is designed for products sold with two-dimensional basic warranty.The obtained strategy can not only reduce warranty cost effectively,but also ensure the continuity and customization of preventive maintenance.Secondly,few researches have combined customized preventive maintenance and two-dimensional basic warranty period.According to the limitation,considering preventive maintenance strategy and warranty cost under different two-dimensional warranty periods,the correlation function of warranty period and warranty cost is built.So,a two-dimensional warranty period design model considering customized preventive maintenance under the same cost is constructed,which optimizes the customer utility.A heuristic approach is used to solve the NP-hard problem in the model.Thirdly,related research on customized design of two-dimensional warranty period and preventive maintenance haven't been studied jointly,and lack effective measurement standards.Considering the influence that preventive maintenance has on two-dimensional warranty cost,a customized design model of two-dimensional warranty period under the same cost is proposed,which optimizes the customer utility.A heuristic approach is employed to solve the model.Fourthly,fierce market competition contributes to increasing demand of manufacturers and customers for two-dimensional warranty,however,few researches have considered jointly preventive maintenances under basic warranty and extended warranty,making it difficult to optimize manufacturer' profit.Based on preventive maintenance strategy offered to different customer groups,considering the purchasing rate,a bi-level programming model is adopted to combine preventive maintenance strategies during basic and extended warranty period.Consequently,a customized design model of preventive maintenance during the whole warranty period is constructed.
