The Internet is no longer a simple technical term. The Internet-related economic phenomenon is not a simple mapping of the traditional economy in the virtual economy. At present, information technology has gradually changed traditional international trade. The"digital dividend" brought about by the development of China's Internet has attracted worldwide attention. In recent years,China has proposed and vigorously developed the"Network Power" strategy, and has achieved rapid improvement in the basic areas of Internet international export bandwidth, number of web pages, number of websites, and Internet penetration rate, forming a high-speed interconnected network environment.According to the report released by China Internet Information Center(CNNIC)in January 2018:"The number of Internet users in China was 772 million in 2017,and the penetration rate reached 55.8%,exceeding the global average(51.7%)by 4.1 percentage points, exceeding the Asian average(46.7).%)9.1 percentage points."General Secretary Xi Jinping clearly stated in the report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Paarty of Chirna that the strategic deployment of "building a strong trade country "should be promoted. In the face of the application of the Internet in the field of international trade, the existing papers generally believe that the Internet plays an important role in the development of international trade, but the mechanism and role of this influence have not formed a perfect analysis.Especially after the global economic crisis in 2008,how does the rapidly developing Internet play a role in China's import and export trade? What is the mechanism for the Internet to promote the development of international trade?Further, can the Internet become a new source of "competitive advantage" in China's foreign trade? The discussion of these issues is of great significance for understanding the relationship between the Internet and China's foreign trade. The topic of this paper is the development of Internet and China's foreign trade:motivation, mechanism and effect research. It aims to explore the practical significance and far-reaching influence of the Internet on China's foreign trade development from the perspective of economics.Based on the systematic review of the relevant literature, this paper studies the impact of the Internet on China's foreign trade:Firstly,it summarizes the development process and characteristics of China's Internet and the policy advancement of the Internet in China's foreign trade. This is the study of this paper.Laid a realistic foundation.Secondly, this paper analyzes from the perspectives of dynamic support, technical support and application support, including macro level(national)and micro level(enterprise and consumer)to explore the dynamic support of the Internet affecting foreign trade, while the technical level(power support)And the platform level(model)provides technical power support for the Internet to influence foreign trade. This paper analyzes the impact of the Internet on the development trend of international trade from the perspective of global trade, and proposes that the global value chain system is characterized by Internet, decentralization and service under the Internet conditions.Thirdly, from the analysis of the incremental promotion effect, this paper uses the iceberg cost model to find that the Internet increases the trade increment by reducing the trade-saving effect of trade costs and expanding the spillover effect of the trade market. From the analysis of trade structure optimization effect, this paper introduces the role of Internet factors on the basis of heterogeneous trade theory, and proposes that the Internet increases trade participants(mainly small and medium-sized enterprises)by lowering the threshold of foreign trade, and through the transformation of service trade content and The model achieves the optimization of the trade structure.Fourthly, this paper uses the provincial panel data of China to empirically demonstrate the above-mentioned incremental effects and structural effects by means of the gravity model. For the trade increment effect, this paper uses the number of Internet users in various provinces and cities as a proxy variable to investigate the impact of the Internet on China's foreign trade after the financial crisis.Based on the above analysis, this paper proposes the following research conclusions.Firstly, the Internet's openness, sharing, and the function of connecting the world have certain fits with international trade. The application of the Internet in the field of international trade provides the impetus for the development and transformation of international trade. From the national level of attention,enterprise-level innovation and application, and consumer-level support, the technical characteristics and platform characteristics of the Internet have enabled the global economy to achieve high connectivity, and various resources are optimally configured under the influence of the Internet. The function of resource allocation has become an important driving force for the Internet to influence international trade.Secondly, the application and development of the Internet in the field of international trade has changed the way information is obtained in traditional international trade.International trade entities, trade processes, and trade products have changed with the use of the Internet. Therefore, this paper systematically sorts out the mechanism of the Internet affecting international trade. The Internet has an impact on international trade from the effects of cost savings, spillover effects, heterogeneity and structural optimization.Thirdly, based on the panel data of China's 31 provinces and cities in 2009-2016,the paper empirically analyzes the impact of the Internet on China's foreign trade. The study found that from the analysis of trade volume, the Internet has a significant positive correlation with trade volume. The development of the Internet has significantly increased China's total trade volume, export trade volume and import trade volume, but the impact of the Internet on China's foreign trade is not balanced. The export effect of the Internet is significantly greater than the import effect.Further, this paper analyzes the structure of China's goods trade and empirically finds that the Internet has significant heterogeneity in promoting the primary products, intermediate products, capital goods and consumer goods in the trade of goods.Fourthly, based on the relationship between Internet and service trade in China, the paper concludes that the development of the Internet has a certain role in promoting service trade. The rising share of trade in services in the global economy is largely due to advances in Internet technology. While the Internet supports the emergence of new service formats, information services products and digital trading have developed rapidly. The Internet has become the new engine for the development of service trade. Therefore,in the face of the "Internet +" development background,China's foreign trade should make full use of the combination of the Internet and foreign trade, and regard the Internet as a new advantage in the development of China's foreign trade.
